Geek Tip: Corral Remotes in a Clear Vase

Do your many, many remotes need a home? I spotted this idea for gathering multiple remotes in one convenient place, without adding something that may not go with your decor.

Just use a clear glass vase the appropriate size for all your remotes (Ikea always has a great selection).

Not only does it look neat and organized, you can see which remote you're going for through the glass.

I have a vintage Animal Crackers canister to hold our remotes - it's really cute!

Love it - only a) I need to get people to put the remotes back in it and b) there's a high chance my kiddo will either knock it down or smash the remote into it -- either way, broken.I do use a ceramic planter from ikea on my desk for pens. I filled it half way (about) with coffee beans to hold the pens. Love it. :)

That is cute!But, our main problem is the abundance of wireless gaming controllers, which would be too awkwardly-shaped for that...

That's a great idea! There are also remote control organizers, some that hold multiple remotes nicely, and others, like the Remote Buddy that has a place for a beverage and a remote locater.
