Gameboy Shoes: Geekish or Freakish?

I love Gameboy. I love shoes. But I'm not so sure I like them together. Funny thing about this footwear from syberpunk is that the retro Gameboys are still playable!

So, if you're bored waiting for the bus (which, I only assume you would be riding, vs. walking anywhere in these), the Gameboy shoe is perfect since you just swing your foot over your knee, pop out your Gameboy, and have some old-school fun! Although there are no prices listed, I happen to think that you can't put a price tag on such a geeky work of art. Now, finding the right outfit to accent the shoe is another problem all together. They're SO FUGLY-seriously the entire collection of these shoes just screams "tacky freak who smells really bad"...I can't enjoy the novelty value of them because the hideous height combined with the Gameboy itself and the obnoxious array of colors just screams EXTREMELY FREAKING TACKY AS HELL

So...how are you suppose to put the game you want to play into the gameboy? I seem to remember the game slot was at the top... I don't have this gameboy, but I have a special edition pikachiu gameboy colour lol!

I still have that exact gameboy. Clear purple - soooooo cool circa 1996. It lives in my boyfriend's bathroom with the only game in it (the only good game) TETRIS!

I think in terms of being practical that this is a ridiculous shoe. But I have to agree with performita. As a piece of art, it's great.

platform shoes that also qualify as gameboy holders. nostlagic, but incredibly tacky! haha well, I guess that since the gameboys would be stored on the inside of your foot, it would be less noticeable than on the outside, but the shoes are bound to get a lot of looks by the sheer height of them. IF they were actually worn.

This is Art, and it has such strong message. I love it! Art doesn't have to be wearable to be admired :) I love the design of upper part of the shoe - so retro-futuristic :)
