Mark Zuckerberg introduced Timeline, which puts all of your activity in chronological order in a visually pleasing way, during the F8 conference earlier this year. Almost like a personal webpage for Facebook, this timeline beautifully shows off your large photos, status updates, and activity, but there's also a space for your favorite apps and a big profile photo up top. Privacy is top of mind on Timeline as well, as you're able to set the privacy access for every piece of content on your timeline. Take a quick look at each section of Timeline here.
What the Timeline homepage looks like.
You can add a huge cover photo to the top of your Timeline, which will appear alongside your profile picture. You can change these as often as you'd like. Just hover over the cover in order to change.
Through the Years
You can jump to a specific year in your life here on the sidebar. When clicked, Timeline will zoom down to the selected year.
Photos, Status Updates, and Activities
Your daily status updates, photos, and app activity will appear here on the bottom half of the page. Hovering over stories, photos, or updates will allow you to hide items (like status updates), and you can change the privacy on every single piece of content on your page.
On Your Phone
Timeline will appear sleek and streamlined on your mobile phone, and infinite scroll will still work on your devices.
