Facebook To Get a Whole Lot Flashier

If you thought Facebook's Beacon was annoying, wait until you see their new app — flash! Yes, it's possible that flash can be much more than glittery initials, shamrocks, and playboy bunny logos, but in the case of MySpace, flash was used and abused in the most tackiest way possible.

According to Valleywag, application developers will now be able to use Adobe's Flash in their work . . . I guess it's safe to say you'll soon be able to "pimp" your Facebook page — yikes!

nooooooooooooooooooo. the reason i love facebook is because it's not as cluttered and annoying as myspace. =(

luv-bug, I know exactly what you mean! I have to turn down an invite to one of these stupid apps almost every day! I like some of the apps, but others like "Which fairy princess are you?" or whatever are just useless junk that take forever to load and tries to spam me into inviting more people.

I remember when glittery, shiny stuff used to be "in", but now they're just plain annoying. It irks me that Facebook would even go to this level.

I hate the fact that my beloved facebook is turning into another myspace. I hate getting at least 100 invitations for using various apps and i hate that you have to invite at least 20 people to be able to use the ones you might thing are interesting. Cant they just give us a button to click so we wouldnt get any of that if we didnt want it. You can keep your various apps that would tell me how many kids im having, or what my stripper name will be. Im happy not knowing that information.
