Help a fellow member out! This post comes to us from elle619, who needs some advice on how to keep her Droid X battery running strong:

I'm still having fun with my Droid X. In fact, I may be having too much fun playing with it because my battery gets drained quickly. I installed a Task Master to kill unused apps so hopefully that helps. Anyone else out there have any battery saving tips?

I use advanced task killer too on my EVO, but I have heard from alot of friends how the task killers are killing the wrong task and corrupting the software. I have not had any issues yet. set your security to high, I think it only kills apps and not the OS related programs. http://geekfor.me/faq/you-shouldnt-be-using-a-task-killer-with-android/

I use Advanced task killer and set it to kill apps every half hour,in the aggressive mode, and i get a solid 24 hours of battery life. and that is checking emails and fav web sites throughout the day as well as texting ( and i am a big texter).

the first week of my droid x i had to do a full factory wipe twice i narowwed it down to one common suspect... advanced task killer. all the apps arn't realllllllly running and using tons of data. for over a month now i haven't used that program and my phone has been working a billion times better. also if you install something and it isnt cool or you notice any slow down or increase in battery usage, delete it
