Don't Expect to See Drew Barrymore on Facebook or Twitter

Unlike Oprah who has already signed up for both a Facebook and Twitter account in the past month, actress Drew Barrymore — who admits she's confused by technology in dating — told Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark on Live With Regis and Kelly that she stays clear of both social networking sites. Although admitting that she appreciates technology and the convenience of it, she doesn't know what "Twittering" is and doesn't care to know. Check out the clip below.

I have four girls.. wish drew was one more! I just love her! We older people( I`m 65) may be tech. ignorant..but you`ll know how it is when you`re our age! I don`t know how to twitter yet.. but I might find out someday if I have time. I don`t feel like a lesser human being. There are things that I can do and have done that you may never get to do.( flown across the ocean on a prop plane.... escaped the N.Korean army by fifteen minutes......) But I will not scoff at you because you were too young to do these things.It`s good to respect all ages. We all have good things to offer.

And for the record, I think twitter is pretty neat for business use, but not for personal updates (this means you, John Mayer).

Ok. At this point, im starting to get a little pissed at people (like my parents) who dont know what twittering is. All of the major news networks, and even the local ones, have discussed twitter at length on air. And Oprah had it on her show last week, and she is wayyy behind on the tech curve, so if you still don't know what it it. . .do you live in a cave? Sorry for my rant. Just tired of people claiming they don't know what it is. Knowing and understanding are two different things. If you know but don't understand, just ask.

Aww, I admire her for this. It's nice to know that there are still people out there who aren't suckered into every new thing that comes out (let alone keep their private lives private!) !
