I sleep with my cell phone beside my bed, but i don't use it to check email. i use it as my alarm clock, and also to take phone calls from my boyfriend when he gets off an odd shift at the hospital.

I used to 12 years ago. I was so hooked into texting and I was single. I would text and text and text until to the wee hrs of the morning. Now, I'm much older ...I put my cellphone in my purse inside my closet

My cellphone sleeps right beside my pillow, along with my glasses.

Mostly because it's my alarm clock, and wakes me up in the morning. If I get a text message at night, I usually ignore it.

i always sleep with my phone...it is my alarm, and i like to be there when my boyfriend calls to say goodnight...it's usually like right on my face, that's the only way i wake up, hahah!!!

I sleep with my cellphone on the nightstand beside my bed, its my alarm clock as well... but yes when i hear that lil beep and the lights flashing if I am not totally asleep I occasionaly reach over to check it out

I only sleep with my cell phone if my son is sleeping at his grandparents' house, which happens once a month (date weekend, baby!). Otherwise, leave me alone, I need my rest!!!

I sleep with my cell phone, but only because I don't have a home phone. If anything happens and I have it turned off there's no other way to reach me.

I keep my cell phone next to my bed only because I use it as an alarm clock. Other than that, it's turned down to the lowest volume so I won't even hear a text or call come in.

I have my cell phone next to me while am sleeping. But, its switched off. I only switch it on when I want to check what is the time, or when I finally up.

I sleep with my cell phone beside my bed. I use it as my alarm clock....and to reply back to my friends that sometimes text me at the most ungodly hours.

I also use mine as my alarm clock, but I put it on vibrate during the night so I don't get woken up by texts in the middle of the night.

My only complaint with my blackberry is that when I'm half asleep I have to fumble a lot to find the right buttons.

i only use my phone for the alarm clock function, otherwise, i'm such a heavy sleeper, i don't hear if i get texts or not.

I like to leave mine next to me in case of emergencies and so it's there when I wake up. I've fallen asleep with my laptop next to me too, but only when I can't sleep and use it to make my eyes tired.

And this may sound like a strange question vienvien, but what's your locale? I imagine somewhere with more advanced technology, because 12 years ago, my family's cell phones barely had a display; much less, text messaging capability.

Yes, my cell sleeps with me, but for 2 reasons only-1.)I'm paranoid, and want a way to call the cops if there's an emergency or a psycho cuts the phone lines 2).It's got a very loud alarm and wakes me every time

my cellphone is in my bed wiht me, but not for email mostly for time and texts. i have to admit though in the middle of the night, if im laying in bed and about to go to sleep i will get up and check my email just before. but with people i love in different time zones i think im allowed that right =P

Yeah, I have a second job that I have to get up at 1am for... because I'm paranoid I'll sleep through my alarm, I use my cellphone as a backup alarm.

Like many others, I use my cell phone as my alarm, so it stays in the bed with me. I usually don't answer phone calls, but I'll read a text in the middle of the night if I hear it, but it won't get answered till the morning.

I sometimes use it as an alarm, but its vibrations aren't good enough to wake me up immediately, so it's not too often.

I DO sleep with my phone near me (usually skin to phone contact) if I'm expecting a text message from a friend about something important.

I don't chek my e-mail on the cell phone (it's still too expensive here) but I do sleep with my ibook on the night stand

guilty...i sleep with my blackberry and my macbook next to my bed...and i check my blackberry every time i wake up...i'm addicted.

I too sleep with my cell phone, it's on the night stand of course and I use it as an Alarm clock.

While my husband was deployed to Iraq I did, but he's home now so I figure phone calls can wait 'til morning if I don't hear them.

I keep my blackberry near for the alarm. So of course if I see that red light blinking in the middle of the night I just have to check it.

my cell phone sleeps next to me and yes I am guilty of checking e-mail in the middle of the night. I am a HR manager for a global company so I get e-mails from all of our European offices in the middle of the night. I usually wake up to 30+ e-mails a day.

Yes, i would even tie my celfone with a scrunchie on my hand so i dont worry that it fall off my bed while i was sleeping

I sleep with my cellphone only because I use the alarm to wake me for work. I have it completely switched off so that nobody can text or call me - I am a total grumpy ass when woken!
