Did the Netflix Outage Affect You?

The unthinkable happened yesterday — Netflix was down for over 12 hours. The online movie rental service outage wasn't planned and left many Netflix subscribers frustrated and wondering when they would receive their movies. According to SFGate, a technology breakdown caused the site to go down. A few of us Netflix junkies gasped at the outage, but I'm curious to know if it affected you at all?

I watch movies and TV shows online and I was so bummed. I had to listen to music instead. Not the same...

I just joined two weeks ago, so I was just wanting to verify they had received my returns, so I was a little ancy on that, but otherwise, no big deal

I completely abuse their instant watch feature, so I was bummed a bit that I couldn't watch a movie. I slept instead.

I was trying to add a couple movies ... I was going crazy! Guess what? I've now forgotten which movie I really wanted. :P

Nope, I use the blockbuster mail plan. I used to use netflix, but blockbuster won me over when I found out I could exchange the movies I got in the mail in store as well, and they'd automatically mail out the next one on my list while I watched the one from in store. They also send out free movie rental coupons!

A few of our movies were supposed to be sent out yesterday but didn't because of the outage. We're really addicted to LOST right now, and I'm super bummed because I REALLY wanted to watch them tonight! I guess I'll have to wait one more day...(SIGH!). :)

My boyfriend and I don't have cable and we use NetFlix for rentals and the instant watching of TV shows, etc. So we were totally bummed it was out, and then when it came back up I noticed they are sending our next movies all out of order. Which isn't a big deal, just odd.

I noticed it but it didn't affect me. Usually I would have been really annoyed by it because I'm frequently returning/receiving one DVD every 1-2 days, but I've had two sitting at home for almost a week because I've been unusually busy.

We just canceled cable, so we stream TV shows over Netflix. We were totally bummed.

I just signed up for netflix about 2 weeks ago, so I'm a little obsessed with it right now. I had sent something back and wanted to see what was next, and all day I was so disappointed that I couldn't play with my queue.

well this was just the website right? i hardly ever browse it since I usually know what is in my queue. So, I really had no idea there were any technical netflix problems.

It affected me only because I wanted to see what was coming next from my queue. But it wasn't a big deal. It's just movie rentals, after all. I got over it quickly. ;-)
