Noun. The joint venture that is a couple using a single email address, i.e., "janeandjohn@gmail.com".

Can be the primary email address for the couple, or in addition to their personal email addresses.

Usage: "I can't believe Jane and John have one email address. I never pegged them as a We-Mail couple."

We have joint facebook account and it works well. Its convenient esp because my husband is slack when it comes to replying to friends. We used to have seperate accounts but I end up replying for him because he cant be bothered which I feel is very rude and mostly people emailing him are both our friends anyway. A majority of our friends knows our personal email addresses anyway so if its something 'private' they would email that instead. I guess its different for everyone xx

u guys need to all stop and look at what ur writing who cares if its single or together peopl do it cause its easyer and thos who dont cause they dont want. thats the hole deal of people is to be diffrent so dont rant and rave at them for being diffrent its people like u that make all other people feel like crap and its not fair. so accept it people are diffrent there for they do things u might not like but guess what same goes for u u do things other people might not like grin and bear it move on.

We wouldn't share an email address. We are not that tech incompetent. I associate these with stupid people who I wouldn't want to email anyway...

My boyfriend and I have one, simply because it's easier to email a single contact rather than both of us (or only one and the other forgetting to forward it!). Mostly his mum uses it to send pictures, but we also use it for our blockbuster subscription so we can both see what movie is coming next on our iphones! :-)

I don't like it because it seems to take away a person's ability to speak for themselves. I guess it could work for some people and it's not like I have anything to hide, but I do like speaking my own mind.

My parents have one and it's fine, especially since my mom is the only one using it. My brother and sister-in-law on the other hand are horrible with it. I hate emailing my brother and having her reply. I never know who I'm emailing or if he even gets some of my emails. And as far as the facebook thing goes my brother isn't on there but tells my SIL what to say to people. So she does a lot of posts "your brother says...." Stop talking for him! If he has anything to say let him say it. Wow, I think this hit a sore spot with me ;-)

I don't see why this is viewed as a negative thing. My husband and I have a shared e-mail address. It auto-forwards to both of our regular e-mail addresses. Using GMail's nifty multi-account feature on GAFYD, we can send from the joint address so that replies go to both of us automatically. Our relatives love it. It's one e-mail address to remember instead of two.

I made one of these for wedding planning purposes, to keep all the info in one central place. It still exists, but we never use it. And it was really only me using it anyway, so it really did end up being pointless (in addition to a little tacky - although tacky is allowed when it's wedding-related, right?)

Unless it's some kind or work or hobby email/website, I think it's better to have separate accounts.

Ugh, gag me. I really hate it when people do this, especially when it's on facebook or myspace. There needs to be separation between people, this is just ridiculous. (And no, this isn't coming from a bitter single girl, I'm in a happy, committed relationship.)

My parents share a joint email address. It works for them, but it's not overly obvious like jackandjill@blah.com.

I think it's even funnier when couples have a joint facebook account. I really only see this in people who joined facebook after being married, but it's pretty weird.
