Think Gravity is good? Wait until Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey hits Fox Sunday nights next year. The space education series is going to be the most thrilling program about the universe since Carl Sagan's original series aired on PBS 33 years ago — and the proof is in the latest trailer that aired during the World Series this weekend.
The program, hosted by the Internet's favorite astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, will feature stunning, true-to-science special effects. As the trailer shows, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey is will have Gravity-esque, heart-thumping visuals alongside Dr. Tyson's expert narration.
At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Neil deGrasse Tyson said the show "wasn't simply opening up science books and teaching pages ripped from it . . . It spent time learning, exploring how to make science matter to you as a human being, as a citizen, as a species with a capacity to reflect upon its own existence."
