Remember when I asked you how geeky you were going to go for your wedding? Well, for those of you betrothed geeks who want something geeky and completely unique, check out Etsy artist Jana Brevick's Cat 5 Compliant wedding ring set.
Made of sterling silver and an ethernet plug (if you don't buy into the whole every-girl-needs-a-diamond thing), these rings could be the one-of-a-kind touch you're looking for — for the geek wedding to end all geek weddings!

Wonderbra
Uhh thats too much for me...
1They're ugly.
2Haha those ARE extremely geeky. I would die if someone gave that to me.
3oh my gosh soooo dorky! i think it would be funny to have btwn a boyfriend a girlfriend as a joke. but definitely not as wedding rings!!!
4Oh man, IF me and my guy were into geek chic that much these would be great. Only if.
5gah. Cat 5 was sooooo 7 years ago. I won't wear anything less than 6.
6That's hilarious. As long as people actually are joking about it...
7lol. I want them.
8I want it so bad, but the 'male' ring would be soooo annoying to wear:(
9holy... that's geeky...
10I'm still waiting on a Triforce ring. I'd wear that! These, not so much. They look like they'd be annoying.
11Haha interesting.
12haha thats pretty funny. unless its not meant as a joke and in that case i second that emilie- i would DIE! first laugh then be like "wait. for real!!?"
13dorky, funny, also a leeeeetle bit pervy, no? maybe i just read into these too much...haha
14umm...yeah, i also think they are a bit pervy!
15lol, like a light saber for your fingers!! remember spacesballs?
16Eww! Now those look just plain awful.
17that's just dumb.
18I believe Cat5 refers to a cable type, not the connectors...
which are actually 8P8C modular...
19(wonders off.....)
(alone......)
20@big dork: actually, no, the connectors also come in various categories (I use to sell telecommunication wire and all the goodies that go with it!). The one shown states Cat 5.
21i would so wear those!!!!!!!!!!!
or at least one
22lol that's hilarious! Although a little dirty... I'd never want those as wedding rings though X.x
23Well, I guess I get the point but yeah, it's geeky.
24It doesn't really have much of a purpose, now if the guys ring doubled as a 8gigUSB stick....now that would be something...
25wtf?
26Ok if you guys want to debate technical accuracy.
Cat 5 - 4 pair (8 strand) communications cable
Cat 5e - same as Cat 5 but the pairs are glued together to maintain proper twist (helps prevent data bleed over)
Cat 6 - same as Cat 5e plus is wrapped in foil to shield from outside interference.
The connectors are know as "RJ45" connectors.
27When my cousin got engaged last year, she insisted on a conflict free diamond (I had never heard the term before, and I never saw the movie, so...). I'm glad that I know about this as I, too, will be insisting on a conflict free diamond when (IF!) I get engaged. Or get anything with gems for that matter. I think it's something that everyone should know about, and I'm actually really surprised that more jewelers aren't more outspoken about this!pearl earrings
