Apple v. Samsung
The war between the two tech giants began in 2011, but the battle didn't go to court until 2012. Apple v. Samsung's three-week-long patent infringement trial in a Northern California court ended in a victory for Apple, with the jury siding with most of the company's claims.
The legal suit has the biggest implications for Apple products, as Samsung still manufactures the LCD display in most iOS devices (which must be so awkward). The contract ends next year, which means that Apple must then secure supplies from other manufacturers.
