In March, Apple introduced its third-generation iPad with LTE capability, an upgraded processor, a thicker and heavier body, and a 5MP iSight camera. It was only a slight upgrade from the iPad 2, which is why the announcement was a head-scratching one. The model was short-lived and discontinued just months later in favor of the newer, shinier, more advanced iPad, which can be seen in slides to come.
