I can't say I'm surprised that thirty-eight percent of you agreed that the iPhone 3G was your favorite new Apple product of 2008. I have also selected this sexy smartphone as my number one new Apple gadget of 2008; making it well-deserving of a 2008 Sugar Award.

With GPS access, 3G wireless technology, support for enterprise features like Microsoft Exchange, and the ability to download cool apps from the iTunes App Store, it's no wonder why Apple's latest iPhone caused such a stir this year!

well i love my iPhone. it's really funny how i got it - since i've wanted one for ages, but didn't have the $$ for it. my fiance wanted one but figured that he didn't know how to work all the apps etc, but since i'm a mac person, if i had one then i could teach him how to use it, and that's what i've done :)

I agree, the iPhone is probably the best [though i didn't vote for it]. The iPhone is nice, true, and I really love the App Store, but I can't deal with AT&T and their terribleness. My hatred for the 2 year service isn't worth the hassle of breaking contract just to get an iPhone. Wish there were easier ways to hack it... My strong want for the iPhone is seriously messing with my common sense! eeek. @_@

I agree, the iPhone is probably the best [though i didn't vote for it]. The iPhone is nice, true, and I really love the App Store, but I can't deal with AT&T and their terribleness. I was one of those people that didn't want the iPhone (for some odd & unknown reason). Then..my sister came home &I messed around with hers...and had to get one for myself. I'm so glad I did. It's well worth the money. &I'm glad I got the 2nd gen one. I looove the App Store. It's verryyy addictive!

I agree. I wanted an iPhone before the had apps, but I am so so glad that I waited before getting the first gen. The apps are amazing. I could spend hours just going through the iTunes store picking them out.

It is doubtful that a new iPhone would come out in January but stranger things have happened, you know, like paying $599 for an iPhone that cost $399 a month later ;-) On a side note I think the App store could have won on its own. Having those apps is so incredible and it really transformed the iPhones for the people who didn't want to upgrade. While the 3G didn't really seem like a huge upgrade at the time the fact that so many applications interact with my real current position it has been very cool.
