All things considered, Orla Kiely had a pretty good Tuesday. The British designer not only introduced the press to the latest entry in her long series of bestselling collaborations, but also was inundated with a lot of good press when Carole Middleton — grandmother to the future king of England, pictured above — wore one of Kiely's dresses to meet the newborn royal.
At a party celebrating her new line of tech accessories with Belkin — they're available at Target now — Kiely talked with us about dressing the royal family, what she thinks Kate and Will should name their new son, and why she wanted to put her iconic prints on iPhone cases.
This Spring, Lego lovers will be able to build amazing Legoscapes — on the back of their phones. Tech accessory maker Belkin recently announced a multiyear partnership with Lego, which includes a new collection of cases for iOS devices inspired by the iconic brick toy. The initial product line is designed for iPhone and iPod Touch, but Belkin hopes to expand their Lego series to other devices (perhaps Android and Windows 8 handsets?) as well.
The case collection isn't the only high-tech development for Lego this year. The company kept its grown-up geek fan base in good spirits by announcing the third-generation, mobile-focused EV3 robotics kit at CES in January.
The Belkin/LEGO line won't arrive for a couple of months, but here's a peek at what's to come.
Compatible with iPhone 4 and iPod touch cameras, the remote acts as a full mini camera kit since it also comes with a detachable camera stand and can even switch between photo and video functions. Use the Bluetooth-enabled remote to activate the shutter from up to 30 feet away from the device. The remote requires Belkin's own LiveAction app to operate with the camera, but it is available for free in the App Store.
The iPhone 4S and new iPod Touch are set to hit next week, and there's already a slew of cases coming up that will help keep your devices like new. First up, a massive lineup from Belkin — 19 cases in all, which will be available for purchase in November. Check out each of them in the slideshow; there's something for everyone!

Going green is easy these days — with all the eco-conscious gadgets out there, it's impossible to turn a blind eye. And why would you? You save money, energy, and the planet all at once. Coming in hot and heavy on the green scene is Belkin's latest entry, the Conserve Valet ($40).
This charger juices up your gadgets when they need a fill, then does you solid by stopping the flow of power from your outlet, similarly to AT&T's Zero. Say "bye-bye" to vampire power! Not only that, but the Valet is USB-compatible, powers up to four devices at once, and it senses when you've attached a new gadget, allowing the electricity to flow.
Take care of all your gadget power needs with this all-in-one, neat and tidy charging station, and feed your conscience some good vibes at the same time. You can preorder the Conserve Valet now at Amazon.
Though the iPhone 4 is barely out the door, there are already plenty of options introduced to encase your brand-new phone in a layer of protection. Not since its introduction has there been such a need for brand-new cases —
while your new 3GS or even new 3G could fit reasonably well inside of most previous-generation cases, the iPhone 4's all-new design calls for an all-new crop of cases.
Joining the list of offerings is Belkin's line of iPhone 4 cases. Ranging in price from $25 to $30, the cool, sophisticated cases provide lots of options for protecting your device. There's the classy, professional Verve Folio and Verve Sleeve (both $30), the trendy Shield Fusion ($25), the sure-to-be-popular clear Grip Vue ($25), and more!
There are even more images after the break, so keep reading.
If someone you know can't go more than a few minutes without diving back into their MP3 player, has a constant soundtrack playing in their heads, or is as obsessed with music news as you are with gadgets, then check out a few ways I'd wire the geeky music lover this year.
The receiver will remember up to six different device pairings and works from up to 33 feet away. I'm definitely excited to snatch one of these gadgets up as soon as possible!
