I would generally frown upon ever wearing your iPod on your head. Generally, though. But from a man as fabulous as Karl Lagerfeld? Well, all bets are off.

This Tweed Helmet by Atelier Ruby for Karl Lagerfeld showed up in Style.com's Fall Accessory report — and I'm not saying I wouldn't rock it (the price tag will surely be out of this world) — but I may need the perfect little motorbike first.

Nice, but too bad if you actually need to use the helmet...Scenario: You fall off your bike ruining the tweed as it gets dragged along the bitumen and your ipod gets smashed to pieces.There isn't much protecting it after all.

No offense, but that helmet (and seeing motorists with iPods) scares me as a driver - both car and motorcycle - and pedestrian. If you have ear plugs in under your helmet and your driving on a windy day, how are you going to hear an ambulance coming? Or a car screeching its tires before it hits you? Sorry, stuff like this gets my ire up. I know its "fashion" but your personal safety should come first.
