iPad Gets a Screen Lock Feature in Time for Preorders Today

It's the day you've been waiting for — you can now preorder an iPad. And with an extra added bonus: the iPad is now coming with a screen lock feature! You'll be able to relax and lie down while you read without the screen rotating with you (like it does on the iPhone) thanks to an external screen lock switch. This switch's function wasn't apparent when I got an up close and personal look at the iPad in January, but it seems that Apple is yet again listening to customers' complaints about its features. So tell me — have you preordered your iPad yet?

it's essentially a very large itouch. i like the idea of 3G service, but i'd rather save up my dough for the imac. my macbook pro and itouch will have to do for now :)

I'm not sure how I feel about the iPad. Jobs could have done something really revolutionary here. This could have been epic and shaken the grounds of the tech world, instead he made a giant cameraless iPhone that has no calling features. Its still cool but I don't think I'll be buying one.
