Apple Runs Out Of iPads For Preorder

Say what you will about Apple's iPad, but they've already exhausted the initial supply available for pre-orders. According to Apple's site, WiFi-only iPads ordered now through the site are expected to ship April 12, nine days after the device's release on April 3. iPad pre-orders began on March 12, and one blogger estimates that Apple has already taken 240,000 online orders.

After an impressive first weekend of sales, preorders of the iPad continued steadily both online and in stores. If you've already ordered one you can expect it to arrive on April 3, the delay only applies to recent iPad orders.
