A few weeks ago, Steve Jobs touched on some details of iOS 4.2, including the ability to print wirelessly from the iPad and iPhone. Now, there are more details about the feature via an official press release.Apple will be releasing a beta version of AirPrint to its developers today as part of the iOS 4.2 beta, which will be released to everyone as a free update this November. AirPrint automatically finds wireless printers on your network and will print photos and documents without the need to install additional software. HP's current and future wireless printers will be the first to support AirPrint.
The feature will work on PC- and Mac-based networks and is available on the iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and second-generation and later versions of the iPod Touch.
