On 60 Minutes, Bill Gates said that he and Steve, "grew up together."
The Microsoft founder claimed that Steve had "very little engineering background" but he "put the pieces together in a way that succeeded."
In the revealing interview, Bill spoke openly about what he admired most about Steve. "I wish I had his sense of design . . . design can lead you in a good direction and phenomenal [Apple] products came out of it," Bill confessed.
Bill raises a good point in his 60 Minutes conversation. If creating good products isn't about technical details or engineering, if it is indeed about design, then could Apple survive without Jobs' vision?
"All the dreams we had about making new products and learning knew things . . . we achieved all of it," said the Microsoft founder. The question is: will current Tim Cook be able to take Steve Jobs' dreams and expand upon them successfully?
