Très Chic: Mary Katrantzou's Couture Cases

Thanks to Greek designer Mary Katrantzou, currency, couture, and cases have become one, and our gadgets couldn't be happier.

Thanks to Greek designer Mary Katrantzou, currency, couture, and cases have become one, and our gadgets couldn't be happier. Just in time for Spring, Katrantzou is releasing a line of fresh accessories, all doting on the "vintage" patterns of outdated currencies like the Maltese lira and deutsche mark.

Her new collection of cases is more than money, too; whimsical patterns inspired by the Mediterranean and old postage stamps offer techies a well-traveled touch.

Cases come in three sizes to fit your iPhone, iPad, and 13-inch MacBook (of course!). Although they are currently only available for preorder, these leather pouches range from $400 to $790, a bargain considering these stylish bags are versatile enough to hold more than your gadgets and will transition well into the Summer!

Analyze This! Pinterest Welcomes Pin Analytics

If you have a blog, an online portfolio, or a website dedicated to your love of cats, Pinterest will now tell you what people are pinning from your site, with new analytics tools that give webmasters more information about how people are interacting with their content.

If you have a blog, an online portfolio, or a website dedicated to your love of cats, Pinterest will now tell you what people are pinning from your site, with new analytics tools that give webmasters more information about how people are interacting with their content.

But there's one caveat: your Pinterest account must be verified (you can tell if there is a checkmark by your name). For verification, you must have your own domain before going to Settings and clicking the Verify Website button.

So, what will Pinterest Web Analytics offer you? You'll be able to find out what your most popular, repinned, clicked, and recent pins are and see how those pins grow in reach over time.

To access Pinterest Web Analytics, get the new look, verify your website, then select Analytics in the top right. Now, your pins are under your watchful command.

The new feature is part of a suite of Pinterest tools for businesses, including business accounts, Pin It social buttons, and embeddable board widgets. The pinboard-style content sharing service is positioning itself not only as a destination for consumers but also as a way for brands to connect with their customers — and reach for new ones.

It's only a matter of time before three-year-old Pinterest feels real pressure to start generating revenue, and premium business tools are an interesting alternative to advertisements on the site.

Star Wars Strikes Back With a New Hope For the Future

While Star Wars Episode 7 moves on in full Force (may it always be with you), the Clone Wars animated series is "winding down," and the planned release of the animated comedy series Detours has been delayed, according to a statement about the space opera's new direction.

While Star Wars Episode 7 moves on in full Force (may it always be with you), the Clone Wars animated series is "winding down," and the planned release of the animated comedy series Detours has been delayed, according to a statement about the space opera's new direction.

We'll be watching closely as the new Star Wars takes shape, but we want to know: what do you hope for the future of the franchise?

If you've been hiding in a galaxy far, far away, then we'll catch you up to light speed. In October, Disney announced that it had acquired Lucasfilm for a cool $4.05 billion and that a seventh episode is slated to hit theaters in 2015. Star Wars traditionalists and supporters of the reboot were divided. In January, sci-fi mastermind J.J. Abrams was named the Chosen One to spearhead the new film, earning him geek royalty status as director of both Star Wars and Star Trek motion pictures.

All these changes are happening under the watchful eye of the new lady in charge, Kathleen Kennedy, who replaced Micheline Chau as president of Lucasfilm. In the video below, Clone Wars director Dave Filoni reveals what it's like to work at the company under Kennedy's leadership: "More Star Wars is happening now than in any time I've been with the company."

Let us know what you think of Star Wars's new direction, and watch Dave Filoni talk about his eight years at Lucasfilm, plus a preview of the story arcs to come.

Apps to Customize Your iPhone's Home Sweet Homescreen

Ever wish you could change the look of your app icons?

Ever wish you could change the look of your app icons? Well, turns out you can. Some apps let you switch up the background, color, and design of the graphics and even customize the text. All you have to do is download one of the following options — or check out the more advanced option below— to get a new feel for your homepage.

  • App Icons ($1) — Use templates to create cool icons or make your own designs from scratch; either way, you can customize your homepage look based on several themes (like nature and cartoons). Mix and match icons for apps and contacts, and even modify them down to the font, color, and size of the text.
  • CocoPPa (free) — Easy to use, CocoPPa lets you choose your favorite images from a pool of designs that are searchable by tag, color, and category. Look for versions of well-known icons (for example, an F with a leopard-print background for Facebook) or choose a completely random picture (like a panda) to represent one of your existing apps. Keep in mind that what you download is just an extra shortcut, not a replacement icon — so you'll end up with two icons on your home screen for the same app.
  • App Icons (free) — The same name as the other app, this one lets you select from a number of backgrounds and borders or import your own photos to create icon designs. Choose from endless combinations of built-in backgrounds and borders to snag a style for your shortcut icon that's all your own.
  • For more advanced iOS users — You can create your app icon designs in a different, more involved way. You'll first need to download iPhone Explorer and then follow a few steps in the Apps folder to get the look you want.
