We're all waiting patiently on the MacBook Air and have been checking for updated rumors surrounding the official in-store release (today, tomorrow?!), but that doesn't change my level of excitement! I've got my cliché manila envelope ready to go and I can't wait to actually be touching the Air. I'd kiss it, but Meredith beat me to it! How about you guys? Are you going to buy a MacBook Air?

I have trouble justifying the decision to buy a $500 Dell laptop. As slim & sexy as it may be, no way I'm going for a Macbook air.
1I'd rather have a Macbook Pro. Seems to be more useful. The Air is cool, but not exactly what I'm looking for.
2I wish I had the funds to go out and buy one right now! Macs are amazing machines! Love them!
3Nope
4I just got a new laptop thank you very much
Anyone wanna buy me one?
5No.
6Even though it looks really nice, it's not really practical. It seems to be a notebook for a specific niche; not the everyday consumer. For that reason, I won't be buying it, I still like the macbooks.
7It's so sleek and sexy but I'm not getting one. I'm getting info on MacBook Pros because they've got more hardware options (CD) and a beefier processor to run Adobe CS3.
8Although the sleekness and pure look is wholly appealing to me, it looks as if one knock over from the kiddo and it would be toast. I'm happy with my MacBook which has taken two tumbles thus far and is in perfect working condition.
(Of course, if I had money to just throw
around, then sure, I'd buy one! LOL)
9I need an everyday computer and I already have a macbook so I'm happy.
10I'm not one for buying stuff I don't really need just because they're new or pretty. I'm more about what is useful to me, and a macbook air is just not what I need, despite how innovative and pretty it is.
Already preordered the 1.6 SSD version, my side companion of the superdrive, and the time capsule...and I'll be selling my MacBook on eBay:) It's the perfect machine!
11I just got the black Macbook about two years ago so I'm not ready for a new one yet. I'll definately get another mac, probably when I graduate from law school in two years but it will either be a Pro or the Air if they make some adjustments.
12The Air is missing a lot of components and very expensive for what you actually get. Plus I am clutsy and would drop it and break it!
13I think the MacBook Air is very cool, but I LOVE my MacBook Pro.
14i dont know.. the upgrade to a 2.14 ghz is 2 freaking thousand dollars! i cant afford a 3700 machine. anyway.. i want the upgrade because im a designer and it would make sense for the work i do.. but dammmmn.. id rather the pro
15i want one cause its like cool, new, and advanced.
16but then i don't want one cause like it doesn't
even have a cd thing, so i think I'll just
settle for a regular macbook.
i would if it had a cd drive..
17im happy with my macbook thanks!
it's a sexy computer, but i'm waiting for apple to work out the kinks and make it faster before i throw down that much money.
plus, i just got a macbook in november.
maybe savysugar should upgrade her giveaway to a macbook air....
18no. my macbook is only 1 year and 2 months old.
19My macbook is only a couple of years old but that maybe the next one I get.
20Just got a brand new MacBook Pro, so I'm all set. If I didn't, I'd consider it, though. I like the idea of being able to wirelessly share the CD drive from the Mac mini in the living room!
21Maybe however I might go for a regular mac book later this year; i'm a student and I need quick access for a cd drive. I hate to say that the Mac Book Air is very cool!
22^ I meant I HAVE to say, not I "hate to say.
23the Air is pretty much useless, not to mention expensive for how little you get! I'd much rather an Asus EEE PC
24Are you kidding?!?!
25no but I really want one... how bout making it a giveaway geek??
26as cool as it is, it doesn't meet my needs...especially at the current price.
27each and everyone of my professors would probably whack me upside the head. and say no.
28us mac users get enough for using macs for the windows programs that we need (and no, autodesk doesn't put stuff out for mac, and paralells isn't good enough - it sucks).
plus... it's not what i need.
and i'd break it. i would break that thing in a heart beat.
It's cute, but my laptop is less than a year old and I love my hp.
29No way. It'd be nice to have something that light, but I need me a CD/DVD drive.
30NO, it need improvement....
31I'm going to stick with getting a MacBook Pro
32I really want a Mac, but without the internal CD drive it's not of much use to me.
33I'd love one but the laptop I have now is fine, plus here in England you can at least trebble the price, yep thing's are so expensive here. I bought my ipod while I was in Singapore it was about half price there. So if I can't get an ipod at a reasonable price here I don't stand a hope in hells chance of the Macbook!!!
34I'd like one, but I don't like the idea of no CD drive. Plus, I'll let all the bugs get worked out of it. My heart it set on a MacBook Pro.
35Nope
36Because I don't have a desktop computer (or even a desk), I need a laptop that thinks it's more or less a desktop. With no optical drive, no ethernet port, and only one USB port, the MacBook Air, as lovely as it is, won't do what I need it to do. My iBook works just fine *knock wood* but when it goes I'll probably replace it with a MacBook
