AT&T has just announced today that it will be offering subscribers free unlimited access to the company's WiFi network. Considering AT&T has a growing number of public hotspots — which can predominantly be found in Barnes & Noble, McDonald's, the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and airports — this is great news for pre-existing customers! Wondering where the closest hotspot is to you? Check out a complete list of AT&T's WiFi locations.

YES! My iPhone will love that!
1Your privacy will be nil so keep that in mind esp when banking/buying etc. Also, they are considering monitoring all data. Don't get me wrong I love free WiFi...I just like to be secure too.

I have an iPhone as well as an Apple PowerBook G4. Does this "free WiFi" apply to mobile users who want to access the web or can this be granted to laptop users as well?
