Keyboard Cuff Links: Love or Leave?

I think I could see these keyboard cuff links on the wrists of a geeky guy that I love. Etsy user BeaG makes these cuff links from old keyboard keys for $9 a pair, but I might like them more if you could choose the initials that the cuff links come in. But cuff links are pretty formal, and keyboard keys may not be the black-tie impression he wants to make. Then again, they're kind of charming, especially as a Valentine's Day present. Would you buy these for your guy?

Agreed, I'd want to choose initials. Seems silly that they don't offer that, perhaps we should inquire.

it's a cute idea, esp. since french cuff shirts have seemingly become more "mainstream" (they are all over BR and express)... i don't think these are very formal cufflinks, but i wouldn't mind if i saw a guy wearing them with a casual french cuffed shirt. they may be a good conversation starter!

oh, and my guy is a network engineer, so these may be a funny little "gag gift" for him, but i don't think he would seriously wear them... he doesn't love computers THAT much. Smiling

I think they're a great idea - I imagine you could pawn a million old keyboards off of people by placing an ad on Craigslist!

so what if they are not typically "formal" even when we get dressed up its fun to have a more "funky" down town item, my man hates formal so this is a great way to assert your "i'm hip and you cant make me wear anything!"
