This week marks the yearly MacWorld Conference and Expo in San Francisco. You better believe we will be there checking out the new goodies, meeting up with fellow geeks, and of course, paying close attention to whatever product (or products) Steve Jobs unveils. Clearly, last year was all about the "revolutionary iPhone" (I'll admit, I love my iPhone, but those are Jobs' words, not mine) and the pretty, but less than revolutionary Apple TV unit. What will it be for 2008? An update to Savvy's beloved MacBook or a new "it" device?

i hope apple does their own tablet laptop one day.
1okay well the announcement of the iPhone2.0 is a given - so that doesn't even count as a choice. Other than that, I really don't know what they'll unveil. Either a new laptop or something completely else.

5I think it will be a sub-Macbook Pro notebook.
Maybe no optical drive, 1gb of RAM and a reasonably sized hard disk. Priced around £449 ($900).
OR...
This laptop will be in the same range as the 12" PowerBook was and will market starting at £1100.
What are Apple's leading products? The Nano and the Macbook. Combine the two to make a Nano Macbook...
It'll complete nicely with the EEEPC and the cheap craptops that PC World churn out.

it is a cheaper iPhone so I can get one in July when my contract is up.

11I want to see a tablet from Apple. They of course had the first one, just about a decade too early. If I could have that I'd never look at a PC for myself again.
