I love my BlackBerry Pearl and iPhone. I use them for different things (the BlackBerry for work and the iPhone for play) but I have to admit, neither one of them takes phenomenal photos. The iPhone's camera is definitely superior to the BlackBerry's and the fact that it syncs to iPhoto is fantastic, but I wouldn't let anyone take my head shot with it. I am so intrigued by the idea of telescopic zoom lenses for cell phones because it would allow me to take good pictures from afar and sharpen my Nancy Drew skills. Geek haven Brando sells a telescopic zoom lens ($19) that fits on Motorola phones and offers some serious zoomage. Would you use it?

Ahahaha. MiniPaparazzi!
1Haha! If I saw someone with that on their phone I would laugh really loud.
2Actually, I would. lol I know it looks silly, but it would be much better to carry your phone and that little thing than a camera phone and a camera.
This is of course if I had at least a 6 megapixel camera on my phone.
3I can't imagine carrying around this funky little lense, taking out the phone, attaching the lense, taking the picture, taking it all back appart and putting it away could be more convenient than just carrying one of the cool ultra-slim cameras.
Cool idea, but not that functional.
4My cell phone doesn't have a camera at all.
5I'd rather carry my camera rather than that funny looking thing!
6If I didn't have my current phone, which has a 5mp camera, I would still would never buy and use this. It's just another thing to carry which completely contradicts the purpose of a multi-functional gadget.
7Thats a little much...
8I feel like you could zoom, but the actual resolution would be horrible because the camera itself on a cell phone is horrible.
If you really want pictures, just buy a camera - all the elphs fit in pockets, purses, and you don't have a giant periscope sticking out of your phone. Plus, your pictures aren't a mess.
9Hmmmm...I don't know that I'd use a cell phone as a camera unless it offered the same features and loads of megapixels.
10this is just soooo ridiculous. brando comes up with some reallllyyyy strange stuff
11Why would you use the Blackberry at the same time as the iPhone? I do not understand? The iPhone does everything the blackberry can and more (and better?)?
Oh well...
I carry my 7.1 megapixel camera with me everywhere. I have an iPhone so I don't really take amazing pictures with it. =D
12Wow that looks a bit strange doesnt it haha
13thats creepy
14that's what my digital camera is for.
15While the zoom is amazing, I must say that it too bulky.
16What happened to just using a regular camera? Seriously. Plus I hate it when people use their camera phones in public. You never know if they are taking a picture/video footage of you or looking for reception on their phone. And before you know it you could see yourself on youtube or myspace without knowing it.
17And yes I know you can do the same with a regular digital camera, but it's less obvious if you're using a camera phone.
18a. that looks awkward as hell
19b. creepy! no privacy anywhere anymore. i hate that! i do too many accidental embarrassing things for this cameras everywhere thing
That looks dorky. I have a blackberry curve and I love the pictures I can take with my phone.
20Good idea, but looks way too complicated. I would worry about losing the lens or not having it around. Plus then it makes it harder to take spontaneous pictures.
21...it looks really awkward...
22The point of a cell phone is that it fits in your pocket and can do stuff, isn't it? That lens is a good concept, except that,
231) The cell phone picture quality is most likely really bad, and
2) It does not fit in your pocket. Unless you want questionable bulges in your pants...
