1it looks neat because it looks like you could tilt the camera and what not. which is really useful.
2Seems a bit useless in the long run - just have someone take your picture for you.

9It's cute and I would get it for a friend, but I could just as easily create a free version on a sturdy piece of colored cardboard.
10In low lighting this could be handy, but not the right size for my DSLR. I'll have to stick to using my clunky big tripod.
