Aside from the usual go to the gym more, eat more fruits and veggies and get more sleep New Year's resolutions, I've also got a long list of tech resolutions that I'm hoping to achieve in '08. First thing's first. . .Uploading all my holiday pictures to online albums to share with friends and family, as they usually sit on my camera for months after Christmas. After that I'm going to do a major virtual cleaning. . .Delete old emails and put them in appropriate folders, clean up my desktop, organize documents, bookmarks and the biggie—back-up my data. I also want to update the music library on my iPod, create a gadget-charging sanctuary in my apartment as well as give away and recycle old electronics. Have you made any tech-related resolutions for the new year?

I definitely want to have my first cell phone this year, provided i get hired soon. I want to work hard, pay my bills and by myself a laptop, etc. I've been meaning to backup all my stuff and i definitely will. I'm not much of a gamer but i want a psp. In general, i just want to have fun.
1I want to utilize my geeky gadgets to their fullest potential or get rid of them. After all, I probably don't need an ipod, iphone, and a Palm. Pick one organizer and stick to it!
2I'm going to buy a new mobile phone this month with some gift vouchers I got for Christmas, because my current Sharp phone is rubbish!
I'd also love to buy a laptop this year. I want to surf Sugar while in bed!
I'd love to learn more about certain applications like Photoshop.
3Oh I almost forgot the most important one! I must must must print my photos - have about 18 months worth saved on the computer
4I want to learn Latin. Does that count?
Also do more on Photoshop, like gruaig_rua.
5render in photoshop.
6get better at alias 3d modeling.
learn windows better.
clear up hard disk space, aka, organize photos
I'm going to buy a storage device and if budget allows, I'd like to have an Iphone
7i am going to finally extract all my photos from my ibook (2000 worth) and put them on my iphoto in my macbook. I would also like to organize my disk space and save up for an iphone by july so I could have the 2nd generation.
8Yes, I love doing things like this. All year lol. I just got my first laptop on Christmas and I put all of my photos and music on there, now I just need to organize the titles and such.
9Buy a macbook and put windows on it.
10get a phone with a qwerty
After my wedding and honeymoon, send out dvds of the pics to everyone.
1. I need to add more things to my Evernote archive program. (I LOVE this program.) Particularly things I've starred in my Google Reader.
112. I'd like to be more active with Flickr this year. I'm very bad about uploading digital pictures.
3. I'd like to scan some of my old grade school papers and back those up on my computer.
I'm going to buy myself a really nice cell this year.
12Be more familiar with tech stuff so I won't have to rely on my brother all the time. All the names and acronyms and codes and cords and cables are just soo confusing.
13My main resolution is to try and set the computer down. People will not parish if I help them in 1 hour instead of 5 minutes. When I finally have my baby I don't want him to think that he has a twin brother that looks like a MacBook Pro. Set it down... Just put it down....
14I *NEED* to backup all my photos - I have photos going back to 1999 all on my hard drive. None are printed out... I just pray to god I get round to it before something awful were to happen :|
15I just have one - buy a Wii
16i have so many!
17- learn to DJ
- learn final cut pro and know it like the back of my hand
- find a way to get a new professional camera
- learn more italian
- upgrade my iPod
- back up my songs/pictures!!
Yes I do!
I want to....
18-keep my Sugar and email inboxes cleaned out better
-organize my digital pics and make dvd backups
-get a bunch of the stuff on my Tivo burned to dvd's so it quits automatically deleting other programs
-take a photo of all of my video games from every console for the Geeky Things I Love group
-Pass Super Mario Galaxy, Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess and at least pass Medium level on Guitar Hero 3
-Get a bigger iPod so I can have more of my music with me at all times
Back up my digital photos. It makes me really uncomfortable that all of them are on my laptop hard drive, I really need to get them on DVD.
19I need to...
20-learn how to copy music from my cds & load them to my mp3 player
i'm not really the resolution type
21i'm getting a new tv in a few days (i've never had my own so haven't had a tv in our place for 7 years) so i want to set up my wii and my old laptop to it so i can listen to music that way.
i'd like to scan-in all my documents in my filing cabinet and get rid of it, and have a back up of all important docs on a hard drive in my safe.
do all my course readings before classes (this has never happened, but is always on my list)
make weekly to-do lists
get a 4gb micro sd card
go through all my external hard-drives and get rid of duplicates
continue to catalogue my books and movies and games on delicious library as soon as i get them
painfully - sell some old books and games i no longer need
go on craigslist and get some used wii games - like super mario galaxy for 15$ less than new!
22oh - also, i want to upload my photos soon after taking them and also put them online
and start a design/environmental website
use the new wacom bamboo tablet i got for boxing day and do stuff on the new website with it
update more often on livejournal. also comment to all posts for casa, geek, yum and buzz.
23I "only" have 5000 songs on my iPod... I need more! And hopefully, I'll be able to get a touch iPod out of my parents for my 30th birthday in April.
24Ill add one more that I started with today.
25-Donate all of my unused technology stuff to the goodwill computer works near me.
Tdamji - I just googled "delicious library" because I had never hear of it. It looks fantastic! Unfortunately I don't use Mac.
Geek - is there anything like Delicious Library for Windows?
26gruaig_rua - i'm interested to know what Geek suggests for windows, too -lots of people ask me what they can use since they also do not have macs. i do love Delicious Library, though - so if people do have macs: check out their website!
27Learn VectorWorks before grad school in the fall.
28Sell old games that I never play.
Put my portfolio online/ create a website for myself.
I don't have that many gadgets but I won a nice digital camera last year and still haven't used it (what? at least I cleaned out a closet over the holidays!) No, really, I'm tired of this faceless blue-haired girl as my avitar/pic. That's at the top of my To Do list!
29To own an ASUS pink notebook; I already have PSP as an early Christmas gift, yay!
30I just got a Blackberry curve after being a loyal Palm user of 8 years and am looking forward to learning how to use it and make it work for me! btw--LOVE the Blackberry.
Also, just switched from PC to Mac and am in heaven. Hoping to start the year off right and keep it organized from the beginning.
31I plan on being more organized... I think I can do that a lot better now that I have a PDA!
Hahhaha.
32Catch up on Battlestar Galactica!
33haha! I have so many geeky ones!
-I want to dance more, possibly learn to tango or at the very least the "soulja boy" dance!!
-To read Wuthering Heights.
-Possibly,maybe go streaking!?
-To not be as afraid of boys anymore.
anyway these are just a few ideas I'm working on.
34Study hard and get my degree , keep going 2 the gym as often as I can.OH , and grow my hair . And that's about it
