I must be still dreaming about "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" because when I saw this Piedmont iChair on Unplggd, I immediately pictured myself getting cozy in it, reading a good book and sipping on some hot cocoa. Little did I know that this luxurious leather armchair includes a surround system for your iPod. With stereo speakers built into the wings, forget your paperback—curl up with an audio book instead! The Piedmont iChair is currently on sale for $849. I personally love it, but doubt I'd ever use such a pimped-out chair. What do you think?

I love that it looks like such a classic chair, but that it has hidden geeky treasures
i agree, i think it's lovely, i want one!! it's so inconspicuous!
Pretty!
that is a great chair. Makes me want to run out and get one for my living room.
What's not to love?
Oooh! New layout! When did this happen?
Love it...I would buy it.
ewww!
It's cool but I wouldn't pay that much for it.
not for me. it's a little extravagant.
As an animal lover, I have to leave it (leather). I think it's a nice, classic chair for a study or office, though. The geeky parts don't really do it for me - maybe if it were a comfy chaise or something I could curl up in and listen to some peaceful music but it would have to be good enough to beat my hammock and ear phones, or my spa and ipod dock.
Stupid. Why is there a damn Ipod plug in everything?? Buy a damn CD player or something.
love it!
That is so.... unecessary. For that price you should just buy a nice home stereo, which will produce a better sound and you can use it for more than just your personal listening pleasure. It's hard to picture a bunch of people dancing around the iChair at a party, isn't it? A if you just want a small amount of personal sound, use some quality headphones-- and you can take those with you out on the street to run or to run errands. You can't say the same of this unstylish chair.
This is the salad spinner of furniture. On the surface it seems like a neat idea, but when you really think about it, it's just an unecessary, gimmicky waste of space.
Great, but a little expensive...
It's gorgeous. I love it.
way to blast music in your ear, literally. why not just by a stereo for that price? it makes no sense to me
I'm not a huge fan of the iPod plugging into furniture. I use my iPod for more on the go things. For home we pump the music throughout the house using a few Airport Express base stations that link to stereos/speakers.
I usually hate iPod furniture, but this one is nice. A little too pricey for me though...
nice looking chair; I can't see myself every paying that much for a chair, but it is a nice idea (and would be even better if I could use my Zen with it)
Eh, but I think it's a nice chair, I just don't like it and it doesn't go with my decor.
Nice looking chair. I think I'd rather have a chair and iPod speaker dock separately though.
I like the chair, the speakers are tacky. Leave it!
It's nice, but way too expensive.
Eee...I wasn't paying full attention. I'd love it even more if I had an I-pod. I'd try it out. Of course, my first thought was when movies were on platter-sized discs...it was the future of movies. Heh. Very trendy if you have the kaching.
love love love it
i love that chair - it looks like it's just asking for me to climb in and get comfy!
I love the way it looks, but a bit pricey for me these days. Maybe one day when my ship comes in....
I love the way it looks, too, but I wouldn't plug my iPod into it. That's what the home surround sound is for!
Buy a decent stereo...will sound much better than any chair
It looks cold though. leather looks cold.
Looks like rich, supple leather but I'd definitely shop around 1st, if I were planning such a purchase.
Love the chair... I would buy it with or with the ipod extension ...
Beautiful chair, but I think this takes the whole "i" industry thing too far.
To be clear, I never leave the house without my ipod. She is my wing-girl. So for me to say this is just a tad excessive means they should seriously stop it...lol
luv it but i am not the biggest fan of leather. And i think AlyCat82 is right
I LOVE IT!!! its the perfect way to look formal and impressive while enjoying you ipod!!! and easy way to bring music to your home office
