Your favorite female geek of 2007 is Kristen Bell who received a total of 440 votes! Kristen is not only the star of Veronica Mars, but she also plays Elle Bishop on Heroes and is the narrator on Gossip Girl. Here's a short snippet from her feature in Geek Monthly: "She's always using crazy gadgets (on Veronica Mars) that I have no idea where her character gets the money for - and she carries a taser. I'm not sure if that's geeky or gangsta, but still. She's also always outfitting iPod shuffles and little tiny things with minuscule cameras. If that's realistic, you'd have to be really geeky to know how to do that." Wondering who the runner-up was? Geek chic Tina Fey came in second with 371 votes.

The magazine sounds interesting. Might be another one to add to the list...
I wish the link still worked to the interview with Kbell. Though I still wish martha was on the list. She was on the cover of wired with her Wii cake!
1Kristen Bell is an actor. Just because she plays a geek doesn't mean she knows anything about being one.
I really didn't think any of these women qualified as real geeks... they're all women who play geeks on TV. Where was Morgan Webb? Kari Byron? Jade Raymond? The women who are actually involved in the science/technology/computer industry?
2Clarient I said the same thing on the voting for this. I love morgan webb and think she should have at least been an option to vote for.
3I have no idea about how each person is geeky...
4Yeah!
5I love her...
6I think Tina Fey is way more geeky cool. I never watched veronica mars, but this girl kind of irritates me, on Heroes and when I see her in interviews.
7Yay! I loved Veronica Mars and really enjoy watching Kristen Bell in anything else she does.
8I like Kristen Bell as an actress, and while I don't know if she
9qualifies as a geek, she is a gamer, which counts as a point by my
definition.
I luv KB!
10when does this issue go on sale? or did it already?
