Yesterday I featured Mercora, which offers free music downloads for PC users, and Fergie Ferg pointed out I forgot to mention Pandora.com, another free music site that allows you to "make your own radio station" on PCs and Macs.
Pandora's catalog contains more than 10,000 different artists - ranging from popular to obscure - and has analyzed the musical qualities of each song one attribute at a time. It's free, but if you want to view the site without banner ads, you'll have to sign up for a paid account. It's a window worth opening.

I loved listening to Pandora at work... until they blocked the site
1You can do that with Yahoo Music too customize your radio station with your favorite artists. But you can't pick the playlist though. But you can skip through the songs you don't like
2I think Pandora is much better than yahoo music, it has a broad range of songs, unlike yahoo that mostly plays popular music.
I love Pandora.
