Well it's about time! Okay, I won't rip into Google for adding this new Gmail feature a little late, but I guess it's better late than never! Gmail now has colored labels so you can better organize your email. Just click on the color swatch beside each label to assign a color. Colored labels only works with the latest version of Gmail and is currently available for Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2. A step in the right direction, although I'm still holding out for for colored stars — how sweet would that be?

I just noticed them a day or two ago, along with my labels looking funny. I didn't know what to make of it. I've been meaning to check the official Google blogs, but now the mystery is solved. Thanks Geek! Gmail will be SO much more awesome now.

7Thank you so much for that visual! I heard about it, I knew I had it, but I couldn't figure out how to change it because they were all showing as beige and so I didn't see the little arrow to change the color!!

8I played with this new feature for about an hour yesterday, when I saw the little add on GMAIL. it's fun, and my inbox looks so pretty now.
