The LA Auto Show is like a Toys 'R Us for car buffs — tons of shiny and new sports cars to feast your eyes on. This year I had the pleasure of attending the show, and while I was anxious to check out the latest Aston Martin and visit the luxurious Ferrari room, I was also curious to see the latest tech advancements in the 2009 models. The new touchscreen interface in the VW Space Up! definitely created a lot of buzz at the show, but I couldn't help but turn my focus to Honda's 2009 FCX Clarity.
The new FCX Clarity is a sporty little sedan that is powered by an electric motor. Producing zero emissions, the FCX gets its energy from electricity by carrying hydrogen in a fuel cell between the front seats. The hydrogen is used with a lithium-ion battery pack to power the car — no gas guzzling engine required. A limited number of these vehicles will be leased to southern Californians starting during the summer of 2008. Stay tuned for more info!
