How low would you go for your cell...literally?! This woman decided she just couldn't bear the idea of parting with her phone, even if it meant taking a head first dive into an outhouse—pee eww! Sometimes I experience slow motion play-by-play images in my head of my phone falling into a toilet, which gives me heart palpitations. Seriously though, does this lady honestly think her "soiled" phone is worth retrieving? Is it really going to work? I don't think I could "go there"... even if it was my iPhone! Not gory enough? There are more pics where these came from!

Yea, I dunno. I'm sure I would get it out if there, but I might of through of a better way...
1Poor girl!
thats to low. i would either ask someone to do it for me or pay them to do it, but i wouldnt do it myself, my phone isnt worth it i can always get ppls numbers again and i have a mini disc that has all my important stuff from my phone like music, pics, etc.
2I tend to not bring my phone into the bathroom, or anywhere near there. Are you really going to talk to someone on the toilet?
3Ew NEVER would I do that. Actually I'm really paranoid about toilets, and things in my pocket. I've had a friend drop her phone in the toilet on 2 separate occasions whenever I go into a bathroom if I have stuff in my pockets I empty it into my purse and keep the purse away from the toilet or I sit it on the counter if it's at someones home. I never use outhouses like even if I have to go really bad when I go in them my body just says "no no way am I using that" and refuses to do anything.
4Um yeah, I really can't think of much that could get me to go down an outhouse toilet. Maybe my wedding ring, but that's if I could see it up on top. I think I need to go puke now
5Too low. thats what the $3 a month for insurance is for.
6This is going to sound awful...
7I dropped my old cell phone in the toilet 3 TIMES. Count 'em... THREE TIMES. I had a tendency to put my phone in the back pocket of my jeans--not a good idea! Ridiculous, I know. But I went after it each time. And surprisingly, the phone still worked. Now I have a new phone, only because of my new every 2 deal, which I'm going to take much better care of. I hope.
EWW!!
No matter how desperately I needed my phone RIGHT THEN I would not go fishing in some toilet for it. EWW?! Or a drain. Or anything like that!
My contacts sync to my MacBook and my iCal has all of my events pre-programmed in to it. It would not be a big deal.
Of course my phone is a Sony Ericsson w880i. Ask me again when I have an iPhone.
8i've never dropped my phone anywhere gross and if i did, i would buy a new phone. I'd definitely never go that low!! Gross.
9Ewwww but I have to say I wouldn't dive in but I'd try to find a way to get it out and salvage it given that I can't get the insurance for my phone as it is a "pocketpc" and AT&T "claims" they don't insure those. Good thing Apple insures their phone themselves.
10That is SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How clean could you possibly get it afterwards?
Yuck!
I would NEVER retrieve it, not ever!!!!
11eeewwwww! I hate my cell phone anyway, and can not imagine going after it like this!
12No. Freaking. Way. Not even for my Crackberry.
And while we're on the subject, who makes pictures of that? Probably the same people who take drunk pictures, put them on MySpace and then wonder why they get fired/don't get that promotion/insert consequence here.
13I dropped mine once because it was in my jacket pocket. I rescued it, but it didn't work anymore, so I had to get a new one. Now my cheap butt pays for the insurance.
p.s. where the heck do they still have outhouses??!?
14That is so disgusting.. I would never go that far to retreive anything that I have to hold up to my face afterwards! Ugh.
15ok i work at a cell service and repair center and this stuff happens all the time. the worse part is they don't tell me until i have already touched it and opened the phone to find it is water damaged and they go oh yeah i dropped it in the toilet, port a potty or baby diaper, or my dog peed on it and so on. So I keep a bottle of hand sanatizer in about 5 diffrent places in my office and use it after i touch a phone cause you never know and I don't want to get sick or come down with a crazy dieases. All I have to say is come clean with the tech cause believe me we have probably already seen it before and it is just courteous. Treat us with Respect and we will try to fix it or get your contacts out but lie and try to trick us and we are not as willing to help.
16what's the point of reaching into the toilet bowl to retrieve ur phone when all that water would have already damaged it....
17several months ago, this really happened in the news in my country:
a few students were playing by the monsoon drain after school and one of their cell phones fell into the drain. fearing the wrath of their parents, one of them jumped into the drain to try and get the phone back. he drowned and his body found days later.
18Ummm, sorry ... I will just replace it.
19Sad thing is ... there's not much WATER in an outhouse. I could see a toilet - that's not too bad. But how ya gonna get all that feces and urine out of it? And ever hold it back up to your head again. Yes, retail, people do stupid things all for their replaceable OBJECTS.
20I can't believe some people are so obsessed with their phones.
21WOW!! thats so gross!! I would have found some sort of claw thing to get my cell phone out.
22I feel you paula. I used to work for a service provider and peopel would come in and deny getting it wet with the big, red, liquid damamge indicator staring at them. Used to make me so mad!
I def. would not go in an outhouse for my phone!
23Oh no, that is so yucky, no no no.
24She's a damn fool. Period.
25I wouldn't DIVE into the hole to get it. I'd use a pole, or get a janitor to help me out, or at the very least wear a mask and gloves before trying anything.
26That's beyond disgusting. Did she even consider what kind of bacteria and parasites might be festering down there? The phone is already dead; not worth retrieving it.
27My cellphone? No. No way in HELL.
My 30 gigabyte iPod with ridiculously extended Warranty or my Nintendo DS....well....no, I wouldn't dive in. But I'd fish them out, somehow.
However, I'd love to know how the *#()$ someone drops their electronics in an OUTHOUSE as is? I mean, seriously....
What the hell were they thinking?
And why is he only in his underwear, shoes, and socks?
28GROSS.
29thats SO gross:| just get a new one. or atleast.. get something to get it out? i dont know. just ew.
30That's not even funny.
Seriously, that's so nasty.
Even if she rinses it, it'll still smell.
