In order to ensure that there are enough iPhones available to consumers this holiday season,
Apple has imposed new "purchasing restrictions." In these restrictions that started Thursday, Apple will no longer accept cash for iPhone purchases and shoppers can only buy two phones at a time—with five being the max before. According to The New York Times, Apple is hoping that the two phones per person and credit or debit card for payment will hopefully discourage unauthorized resellers.

Lol the apple restrictions are silly!
1I wish the iPhones were available through Verizon, I'd so get one...I've heard such good things about them. Oh well. Maybe when my contract is up!
2I need one.
3I have one and i can't leve with out it! I
4Sounds a little silly, but i guess they should do it. Those iPhones look so cool, i really wanna own for just like a day to see what it's like.
5I think I'm OK with that. I would rather see these gadgets in the hands of people who really want it instead of people reselling them and taking advantage of consumers.
They really should have done something like this with the Wii. I can't tell you how many of my friends bought Wii's for way more than what the actual cost is
6They're neat but I've already read about so many problems. Plus a new version is coming out in about 6 mnths, new and improved-I'm sure all the bugs will be worked out by then.
When something brand new like this comes out I try not to buy it, because it's always full of a zillion kinks to work out and a newer version is most always being released within a few months of the original.
7Oh and I hate Cingular/AT&T-brutal service!
8Who the hell is going to be 5 iPhone? Isn't 1 enough? lol
Anywayz, I think it would be best if Apple change the telephone company that one has to be one in order to use it. I find that a bit ridiculous that you HAVE TO have AT&T! Their service is horrible.
9Although I think this "restriction" is silly, it does have its benefits. Now only if Apple would expand their iPhone services to other carriers than AT&T, I'm sure it'd make a lot of people happy, especially this holiday season.
I wouldn't mind getting a hold of this phone for just a day or two to play around with it, but I'll always stick to my BlackBerry Curve.
10I think this is bull. I'm sorry, I know it's for the best intentions, but some people just don't trust debit/credit cards, and with all the identity theifs and cards being stolen, who wouldn't? Alot of people with debit cards at their bank don't have identity theft resolution/protection, so instead they take out what they need in cash and use that. They'd rather have only the price of what they were buying stolen, than $5000 out of their account that they can't get back by the time they discover their wallet's gone. So now, if they want an iPhone, they're SOL.
11All I want for Christmas... and for someone else to pay my bill if I get it.
