Aren't there dirties on subways everywhere? Or have I just had bad luck?

This seems like a silly idea with the cellphone though. I agree with "i heart monster" - speak up for yourself! Embarrass them!

I doubt that a phone message is going to scare this type of person off. Obviously they aren't detered by much, so what is this going to do?

The only time I've been a victim of this is at concerts, and usually a nice punch in the crotch gets the point across.

i've watched the amazing race enough times to know that the crowded subways are just prime targets for gropers. while there's plenty of room of improvement in america - i do appreciate the space on public transportation.

and i don't really think these text messages will stop the gropers.

I don't think it's ment to stop gropers, just serve as a reminder for people on what they can say if they are in the situation.

Happened to me in Boston - I was so shocked I couldn't speak. Maybe if I'd had this in my cell, I'd have used it, but probably wouldn't have been able to do that, either.

I might have some insight on this. In Japan, this happens a lot more often than in the US. Also, in Japan it is considered rude and dishonerable if the woman says anything to discourage the "groping". Weird, I know. So putting the message on a cell phone and showing it to the groper is a respectable way for Japanese women to discourage what is happening. If I ever visit Japan and have this happen, please believe I'll be saying something about it!

I do that on the bus!! It gets so loud and its so crowded that its hard to have a conversation. I started using my cell phone to tell gropers that its right to do that a few weeks ago.
