Designer John Harrington is known for his jewelry, but he is making his mark in the luxury shuffle market with a Diamond shuffle that costs $600. The device is laser etched with Harrington's signature "Renaissance" motif and set with five diamonds. He calls it the "ultimate fashion accessory for the person who has everything." It's certainly less outrageous than the $10,000 shuffle dipped in gold or the $20,000 shuffle covered in gold and diamonds, but it's far from understated. Do you think decking out your devices in gems is geeky, or geek chic?

Honestly do any of these sell? Why would I buy a piece of technology that I can get for a lot less without diamonds but still has the same function?
1It's really cute, but I can't see paying so much for an iPod when you KNOW that in a few months or a year they are just going to come out with something better.
2So chic, I love it!
3I want!
I need!
pretty
4Very cute, but way too expensive for my taste.
5Looks great but I wouldn't buy it!
6why would you spend $600 on a device that you're going to replace in a few years? not cost effective...
7I think it's gorgeous, but I'd never spend that much for it. I'd totally go for one without the diamonds, though- I just like the design. I love my shuffle but it's a little boring...
8I wouldn't buy it but it is very pretty!
9omg i absolutely love that flock design and that's JUST enough bling too!
10Aw, it's beautiful! My first thought was, "I'd rather get one of these instead of a diamond ring if I was propposed to", haha, I'm such a geek. But think about it, he could even load it with all the songs that make you think of each other, it would be so sweet.
11While I like the look... I would just buy the shuffle and send it to these guys: http://www.etchamac.com/ and then I would stick some little gems on it
Bet I could have it done for over half the
price!
12Out of all the Shuffle embellishments, this one is definitely the most chic. And it's not ostentatious, but still kind of Apple-style minimal. I like it.
13I think it is really cute but no way I'd pay $600 for a shuffle
14I'd never choose to get one but it does look beautiful...
15Very cute! I love it! Nice and simple design.
16It's beutiful! I love it!
17nice looking, but who would want to spend money on this???? (And, I can't imagine wanting to buy an ipod anyway - go with Creative!)
18Very pretty!
19I think I would like the design on it without the diamonds
20yay decked out devices! this is so beautiful! i need to deck out my wii i think.
21I'm not sure I even like the Shuffle in general. I think it looks one of those large black paperclips. I would probably lose it or break it somehow. I like my regular sized IPod. Also, I think they're going a little crazy with the diamond studded, gold dipped tech items. Different colors are cool...I'd like to see more green items hit the shelves. Has anyone heard about the CHI straightener that is diamond studded and worth a cool mil? Just crazy!
22love it! but wish it was cheaper.
23Love it, but would never buy it. Gooniette, not every one replaces their iPod every few years. I've had my mini for 4 and am not planning on giving it up anytime soon.
Props to Macgirl for the bargain diva alternative!
24I'd rather get the waterproof one for a whole lot less.
