Last week Lifehacker featured a great guide to Using Your Cameraphone as a Visual To-Do List and it reminded me how very useful a camera phone can be. Here are some of my favorite ways to use my camera:
- To Do List - Using your cameraphone to make a visual to do list is much easier than finding a pencil and paper because it's already in your pocket. Sometimes I even take a picture of my list with my phone so I don't have to carry paper.
- Shopping - My sister and I were shopping for dresses to wear to our friend's wedding a while back and we started taking pictures of one another with our camera phones so we wouldn't forget about potential dresses when we moved on to the next store. You can always send them via text message to a friend for a second opinion.

- Parking - I parked in the same spot in my lot everyday because I kept forgetting where I parked and searched for my car on the wrong floor or corner. Use your camera phone to take a pic of your parking spot or the sign above your car.
- Digits, hours and notes - Think of your picture phone as a notepad without having to carry a notepad. Most modern phones have notes sections, or even text message functions where you can write yourself a quick note and save the message for later reference . You can either type it out, or take a picture of what ever item you need to be reminded of be it a business card, store hours or even your favorite restaurant's hours.

i use the shopping tip, but i can't think of what else i do with my camera phone...besides catching fashion don'ts to send to friends.

4i also use my notepad in my iphone for grocery lists. its very useful!
5When I was apartment hunting, I'd snap the phone numbers of For Rent signs and of the apartments (to send to my guy).
6I'm a big note-taker, so I've always used my camera phone to do it when I'm out. I take items in stores I'm deciding between at another store, billboards, phone numbers and websites, etc. It's a lot easier--but, you have to make sure it's clear. Nothing worse than getting home to find a blurry phone number.
7ahhh. What a genius idea. I always take a pic of random funny things that I could send to my bro because we do random things like that. But the utility use of the camera is a good idea, especially when some of us still opt for the post-it method of writing up a grocery list.
Another idea is if you're out buying something for a friend. My mom will take pics of some bags she got and then asks me which one I think my aunt will like, etc.
8Truthfully I don't use my camera on my phone much. I carry my digital camera with me evrywhere I go and that is what I tend to use.
9oh god, i did just this the other day
i went homecoming dress shopping with a friend but needed to stop at the body shop for some stuff while we were out.
i had put all the items i needed on the online shopping cart and didnt have time to write it down so i scrolled down so it was all visible onscreen and took a picture of the screen.
easy quick shopping.
but thats a good idea about the parking and the "putting things on hold" in your phone thing.

17i use my notes and my camera on my phone constantly to remind myself of things.
i've used my camera to take a picture of my license plate so i can write it down later cuz i never can remember that thing!
i just recently started using the pda phone cam for shopping. usually b/c i always have my cam on me. i use the pic shopping alot when i have to go to sam's of costco to do a pre-event grocery list. it's awesome for making a budget.
18i use it at book stores so i can remember a book i was looking at then i go home and check it out on amazon
19I like the idea of getting organized with pictures but I think it would be more useful if I could organize the pics in my iphone to different folders. I'll have to look into it, I wouldn't want my shopping list to get mixed in with pics of my friends! that would be awkward!

For me, I use my camera phones for :
1. in meetings, to take pictures of what is written on the whiteboard and flip chart
2. take pictures of my child before they enter a shopping mall so that in case they got lost, I can show the picture of them instead of describing them.
3. if i met with a minor car accident, i take pictures of the damage of car.
Just my 2 cents worth.
