I have sent the wrong texts to people quite a few times. Luckily never a risque one!

i've never gotten some incriminating one; but i've gotten some from a friend who pressed reply to the wrong message; and told me that her brother was in town instead of her other brother; since we had texted her within the same few minutes. or since some of my friends have my name; a friend texted me that she was going to be late to her tutoring session instead of our other friend with the same name.

One of the wrong text I've received simply said "you got the stuff?"

i've gotten a text from somebody i didn't even know: it was the lyrics to that song "if you like my body and you think i'm sexy..." you know how it goes. quite a strange text...i wonder what the person it was actually intended for thought about it!

no, but I've received several wrong number messages. Sounded like from some 12 yr old. Going, "lke omg, scool suks"

Yep, got some from a girl on Christmas wishing me Merry X-mas! Then when I asked who she was she said "manda" i was like manda who? Then she got lippy and said Amamda D. and called me a bad name! I sent her a text back saying you have the wrong person! Then she was all oh so sorry and stuff! Yikes!

Yes. About a month ago, this guy kept texting me thinking he was texting this chick named Tracy that he met at the bar the night before. I'm not sure what happened with them but judging from the connotation of the messages...well nevermind.

Anyway, it took me 5 messages to convince him that he had entered the wrong number. I was thisclose to calling him.

That's the only one so far.

I have sent ones to my boyfriend, on several occasions, that were meant for my girlfriends or sister. Luckily it's never been anything terrible, well except when he ticked me off and I sent it to him instead of my friend Emily!

Not texts, but I have sent and received many an Instant Message intended for other people! SO embarrassing.

if he was home he could have played it off and said to his wife "didnt you get my message"

I've got a couple of stories. First, I met this guy at a bar one night and we exchanged numbers and whatnot. The next day, I get a message saying "On the upside, she appears to have her own flat so she must be rich." Shocked, I responded with "So, tell me, what's the downside??" He felt like a complete ass and tried to ask me for drinks to make it up to me. What a loser. Second story: Someone blue-tooth hacked my cell and started texting me dirty texts and signed it... horseman. HORSEMAN??! What the fa!?? Couldn't just say his name was Steve or something NormaL!

OH! And when I had gotten my new phone, the number must have belonged to a woman who NEVER paid her bills or spoke to her friends because I would get texts from her people ALL the time and after politely telling them that it was no longer her number, I just decided to start responding with "Sheila's dead. Thank you. Go away now. Bye." 'Cause they never believed me!

I accidentally sent some guy a text meant for my friend. Their digits were switched around, just my luck! Anyway, the guy continued to text me telling me he was unhappy with his marriage and how we should meet! This was very creepy and it was taken to court and a restraining order was the result. Beware of creeps out there.

Oooh man this reminds me of a story...so one of my coaches is good friends with this one high school tennis coach who will be known as Joe from now on. Joe sends message to girlfriend who, girl on team receives it. Joe intends to send my coach a message complaining about girlfriend, girlfriend receives it...essentially....it all ended up getting resolved but that was amusing...

yep! Actually, last week I got a random picture message from some random person wanting to get her friends' opinion on an outfit she was trying on. I replied with my opinion and let her know that she had sent the message to the wrong person. She didn't believe me at first and it took several texts until I finally convinced her that I heartfully don't know who who the ef Jailyn is.

I got a message from someone apologizing for the night before and making sure I wasn't mad. I texted back asking "who" and he was like gee, thanks. Then I told him he had the wrong person and he apologized. Kind of funny.

Last year I kept getting these texts written in Spanish.. My Spanish is pretty rusty, so it took me a while to figure out how to tell them they were texting the wrong person.

I sent a picture of my kitten to a wrong number the other day. Someone completely random. I'm sure it was okay though. My kitten is pretty cute.

I used to get messages from some guy named Brad, who seemed to think I was his friend Chris, and I'd msg back and say I wasn't and he'd send messages back saying "Chris mate, stop mucking around it's Brad!" He even asked if "Chris" was coming to his 21st. I think he must have talked to Chris and realised he had the wrong number because he stopped with the messages after a while!

I've also almost sent messages to the wrong people. I was going out with this guy named Dave, and I sent him a message about the good time I'd had the night before- but almost sent it to the name above Dave in my phone- Dad! Very glad I managed to cancel that one!

Another time with my old phone, you'd pick out a name to send it to, and it would randomly pick someone else. I almost sent a message to someone I barely knew that I'd bought the perfume they wanted so they could pay me back for it,lol!

yep, i got a message that my ex meant to send to his mate, telling his mate that he was going to break up with me in a few weeks - but he sent it to me instead by accident. OOPS.

Wrong number voicemail, some chica offering to kick my ass because the girl she was trying to fight was sleeping with her boyfriend. My husband and I got a good laugh out of it because infidelity is NOT something I could ever do.

A couple of days ago I got a REALLY raunchy one from some girl. I tried to tell her it wasn't me and she started yelling and wouldn't believe me! She thought I was some guy trying to avoid her.

i actually got one recently from someone saying they missed my body and all this stuff, and then a follow up message saying, whoops wrong bumber! But I was thinking, man if my husband saw just that 1st message, he would have totally thought I was cheating on him!

haha wow seems like tons of ppl text to the wrong number! this happened to me the other day.. some girl named kim text me from high school?? but the thing is.. no one i know named kim went to my high school in my grade.. haha.. it was totally random!

that's funny cuz just this week i got a text that said, "hey girl, we still on 4 wed?" i was confused but i just didn't respond. then when i read the booty grazer thing, i was like, ahh! maybe that's what that was.

I've received several wrong text messages- I get someone's Delta flight info whenever they travel and someone else explaining why they haven't been in touch lately and some random holiday well wishes. Whoever it is seems nice, but they've got the wrong girl! I've texted back that they got a wrong number, but people always seem to find that so hard to believe, so whatever!

I got a text at 2 in the morning that said "I didn't call you, aren't you proud" (an obvious drunk text). two seconds later, it said "SORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN YOU!" Unfortunately, I didn't recognize the number.

I received a text message with a pornagraphic photo and the text said "Spoiled Brat". I texted back and said they had the wrong person and to kindly stop sending pornographic photos to my phone. they kept harrassing me until I called the number up and yelled at them and it ended up being kids and I got the father on the phone who profusely apologized. I hope the kids were punished severely!

Yeah... someone send me one saying "Can I smack it?" I knew they sent it to the wrong person because they have never said something like that to me.

I think mine wins! The girl I had been dating on and off was at my house for a barbecue. Since I was hosting I was busy in the kitchen and talking to other people. I got a text from her that said "Hey babe. I'm at a bbq. I really don't want to be here, but I'm trying to get out of it. When can I see you again?" I walked past her and then two seconds later sent her a message that said "I think you sent that to the wrong person. If you don't want to be here then leave."

She stayed. But I haven't called her since!

worst yet. this belongs in a confessional its so bad.
so my best girlfriend of 18 years stopped showing up for class for about a week and wouldn;t return my phone calls. this didn't necessarily worry me because we had one of those friendships where we wouldn't talk for several weeks but then we'd catch up and all was back to normal. anyhow, i finally got ahold of her and she said she was sorry but she had a gyno appointment and they told her her pap was abnormal, and that they found cancerous cells during the procedure. (A. cancerous cells during a pap smear? interesting) she also said not to worry because they gave her antibiotics that would clear it up in no time. (B. didnt know antibiotics cured cancer!) so, i texted my brother who had unfortunately contracted an std from a former girlfriend and I asked (based on obvious suspicion) "when you had that std, did you have to take antibiotics" he responded with "yeah why?" and i said "well because ________ said she was taking antibiotics because her gyno found cancerous cells during a pap smear but i'm pretty sure its the gonnohrea" unfortunately i sent THAT one to my best friend.
we didnt speak for a year.

This had never happened to me before, but on Friday night, I got a text after sending a "Thank You" to a friend for letting me borrow his jacket I got "Loves ya, playing 4 hands, will call you right after, put on something cute!" eeeek!

Yes, it was from my boyfriend and it was to someone he was crushing on. It was a little upsetting...
