I love technology geared toward kids. It's always so colorful, easy to use, affordable and most importantly, makes me feel like I'm ten again.
Case in point: This cell phone by Firefly, which was featured in this week's issue of Life & Style's "hottest new gadgets" section. With parental management of incoming and outgoing calls, easy activation and customized ring tones, animations and colors, this phone is a hit with both parents and kids — no wonder Reese loves it for Ava! Prices range from $50-$60. For kids ages 5 to 8.

Yay! for technological kids!
1Ugg! for all the pink girl toys
I've never been a fan of giving cell phones to kids. I think any kid that's not in high school yet is too young to handle one. However, I think the firefly is fine. It's nice and simple. Kids don't need the bells and whistles.
I think those other gadgets for kids are adorable. When I have kids, they are going to be so incredibly geeky chic.
2i think its a good idea... well this one.. cuz you can prgram it so they can only call certain ppl and not run up the bill by calling all their friends
3I think cell phones like these are good ideas for kids. My cousin is divorced so he gave one to his daughter so he can get a hold of her while she's with her mom.
4I think these days it is just safer for kids to have cell phones
5yay, very nice gadgets
6did you hear about the 2 year old who phoned 911 when her mom colapsed? i think it doesn't hurt to have a cell phone for kids if they are out and about away from parents...i have seen enough tv/movies to know that crazy things can and do happen!
7I plan on getting my little one a Firefly as soon as she can handle it.
8Dang it, why did I have to grow up?
9I HATE tech gadgets for kids.
10It just makes them even bigger whiny spoiled brats.
