Only 30,000 of these limited-edition Beatles USB drives will be made, and are expected to be released in North America on Dec. 8. For $280, the 16GB drive contains the entire Beatles catalog, plus extras like videos, album art, and photos. Since they'll probably sell like hot cakes, you can preorder yours now via the official Beatles store.

Beatles albums still aren't available in the iTunes store and I'm curious how fast these devices will sell out. The concept is great and the drive has a cool design, but would you fork over nearly $300 for the digital music files?

my sister would love this but with that pricetsg? no deal
1I don't think it is outrageously expensive. Consider how much it would cost if you bought all the albums on CD, or if they were avaialble on iTunes... at least $12.99 x 17* albums = $220
With all the extra videos, artwork and photos, for an extra $60, heck yes I'd buy it!
*17 American album releases
2I am more likely to purchase this than the Rammstein box set that comes with sex toys molded after the bands joysticks that is going for around $450.
Dear Mom, please add this to my Christmas list.
3They're cute. But for $300 dollars, no way.
