Wouldn't you agree that this iPod accessory mimics the traditional camera with tripod set-up? Recently announced by Focal Corp Japan, this three-legged Boomtune Mini speaker system, which by the way is named "Julia," connects to the iPod via a 3.5mm stereo plug. Straight from New Launches, two of the tripod legs come with speakers while the third operates as the battery compartment. Unfortunately there isn't a docking station, which I've certainly grown accustomed to and quite frankly can't live without! Currently available from Japan for 4480 Yen or $39.

ahahha looks to funny. like a camera tripod
1No likey...looks awkward.
2woah, that's a pretty awesome idea! i'd be curious to hear how they sound.
i wonder if they will try and make some large scale applications? maybe for dj's or something? just strap some wheels to the bottom and you've got yourself a mobile speaker system!

3what a great idea! thats so small and portable!
4It's an iPod tripod! I wouldn't buy it since it's not a docking station though, that's a must.
5So...if you're not using a Nano, your Ipod sits upside down? Incredibly awkward-looking, don't you think? I think I might have to pass on this one, sadly.
6I'll pass on this one
7that is kinda neat
8wouldn't get it but neat
it would be better with a docking station but even more important is how it sounds.
9i have something similar, looks EXACTLY the same pretty sure all three legs are speakers on mine, have had it for over a year, batteries last longer than i thought they would, runs on one AAA, the sound is pretty good. very useful for me, i was always getting my earplugs pulled out and space is a minimum at work for me so they were perfect . . . but i upgraded to a polk audio midock portfolio, that sound is AMAZING and its quite compact and has a power cord. jeez i need to learn how to not write run on sentences, hehehe.
10they come out with everything
