Remember the psychic website Farecast that could predict the best air fare prices on any given day? Well now you can not only find cheap flights, but you can price compare hotels with Farecast Hotels! That's right, similar to the regular Farecast, all you have to do is enter the city and dates and the beta hotel search engine will provide a price comparison tool to show you if you are receiving a good deal on your hotel. This beta version already has more than 5,000 hotels in 30 major cities in the U.S and over 80,000 across the globe, and can predict prices 90 days in advance. Use it to also get detailed info about the hotels!

i love these maps/deals sites! i'm a visual person so it helps figuring out which place is near where when vacationing
1This tool is very neat but is there a fee to actually book?
2Booking fee?
Wish I would've had this before I went on vacation this summer.
3How does this work?
4You plug in the dates and address where you want to stay. Then, on a map, it shows you how much hotels near that address cost. You can click on the particular hotel and learn more about it (facilities, pictures, etc).
I played with the search functionality and compared the rates to a hotel I just booked - I actually found good rates near my hotel but I'm still trying to figure out whether or not you have to pay a fee to use the booking service.
5i'm planning our trip to SE asia and china now so this is going to really help us out!! thanks so much Geek! btw Orbitz has a fantastic sale - book for 5 day stays and get $200 off! some of the places we have booked in China are only $50 USD for 5 days because of the sale- and relatively nice places too!
6Woow, great site!
