Creative has just come out with a new portable speaker called the Travelsound i50, which looks like an ideal place to dock your 2G shuffle. You just connect your headphone output of the Shuffle to the speaker and snap on the clear protective cover and you'll instantly be a human boombox. Discussed on technabob, the Travelsound i50 can be clipped onto a loop or bag and is powered by a lithium battery with a life span of approximately fifteen hours in one charge. USB connectivity charges both the music device and the speaker. Currently only available in Japan for around $69, but should soon be released in other countries as well.

Do people really use these speakers? I think its rude to listen to your music like that in public. Thats why it came with head phones and not speakers. But it does look pretty

It's too
easily stolen here, especially on crowded public transit in San Francisco. And I agree with SkinnyMarie about rudely blasting music in public. I get annoyed when people play their ringtones
over and over (like that's cool or something?), so I'll stick with my own headphones, thanks.

5its a good idea.. if you wanna listen to it at home.. and need something to hook it up to... other then that.. i agree with SkinnyMarie ... they came with head phones for a reason.. cuz im sure the whole world doesn't wanna hear your music
6i don't see using this on your backpack (why is her backpack so crappy looking???) but maybe elsewhere. some people on a hike i was recently on had a speaker with them for an ipod. most annoying in the middle of the woods!
