Sure everyone wants to know how fast they type, or how to type faster, but is a large desk accessory that lights up while you type the right diagnostic tool? This USB-powered desk lamp from Solid Alliance fluctuates between a golden color and a brighter blue as your typing speed intensifies. Presumably it's meant to encourage you to keep your typing speed in the blue zone, and while it's not particularly hideous, I'm not sure I'd set it up in my office. Would you use it as a typing aid?

I think it's awesome, but recognize it as a geeky idea I'd never actually buy.
It's so ... pointless. Unless you're a court stenographer or someone who's job actually depended on typing speed, why would you need something like this? And if your job did depend on typing speed, the changing light will probably just distract you and trip you up.
This might be a nice fixture in typing class though. Do those still exist? I took one in 4th grade.
Technology aside, that thing looks like a condom. If you had a sphere for a penis.
strange and pointless maybe???
definitely strange and not necessarily the most aesthetic item to put in your house, but maybe something geek chic strictly for the office? maybe my cube is just boring, but a fun color changing light would sure brighten things up around here.
I think it looks cool, so if you did have it, it would look some type of geeky decor. I don't think it's totally geeky, but I wouldn't buy it myself. I'll stick to the type test online to see how many wpm I type.
I agree with Leopardcc, strange and pointless.
hmmm, looks cute, but i agree with the sentiments of pointless and strange
i have to agree, completely unnecessary!
um.... completely unnecessary! lol
They look like nipples.
i dont need something else to nag me to type faster! err...i dont' have anything that does, but you know.
I DONT LIKE THE WAY IT LOOKS
no i love it!!
Kinda weird
I don't really like it but I like what it can do.
