Here's a novel idea for people who enjoy the outdoors, but aren't overly enthusiastic with the idea of pitching a tent and singing koombaya around a bonfire. Travelodge has just announced its new mobile hotel rooms called "Travelpods," which are perfect for music festivals and sporting competitions. Each pod comes sealed in a polycarbonate glass box and includes all the amenities of a standard hotel room like televisions and air conditioning. Featured on Spluch this glamorous outdoor accommodation measures 6 meters by 2.4 and includes a double bed, bedside lights, carpeted floors, dressing table and blinds. Kinda reminds me of trailers, minus the wheels and driver!

Something about that annoys me.
what about a bathroom/shower?
I'm not too sure about this
I think I'll stick with hotels that have solid walls
Good call on the bathroom/shower tashab! Not much fun if you don't have these two very important amenities!
In the corner, there's a door, so I'll assume that's the BR.It actually looks kinda cool.
Yeah, the bathroom is in the enclosed part on the end. I think it looks fun! My only question is how does one get this room to where you need it?
how do you move it around
?
or does it just stay in one place?

Assuming it really is portable, has a bathroom and enough electricty to operate a microwave or at least a hotplate, I'd love it. Can you imaging asssembling this on a campground, lol?
How is it transported? where does the power come from? where does the water come from and the waste go to? While the theory is nice.. how do they deal with the logistics?
this is weird..... and yeah, bathroom??
I assume it's like pods (the storage company that brings a portable unit to your house and you put all your crap in there and they move it back to a storage facility for you). Where they deliver it to you on a truck. So you'd tell them where to deliver it. And does it have curtains? Lol. Talk about a peep show
Ummm... a bit wierd!
i would definitely stick with hotels.....i might like the idea more if there were shades. the idea of those overly-open windows at night in a meadow creeps me out
I'm just going to imagine they drop from the sky to your desired location. Next question I'm curious about is how much $ is it going to cost to rent/book one of these?
This seems fake.
And I think I would be kind of scared sleeping in that..
I dont know if I like it. Kind of creepy.
It's weird but I'm totally in!
I can finally go camping!!!
wow. looks interesting... can we say exhibitionist? lol
This is crazy... Too crazy for me even. I don't like it.
I love this , especially if i had oceanic view. Breath taking
