3D glasses are fantastically fun, but there's next to nothing fashionable about them. At a recent 3D Entertainment Summit (read: geekfest!) word got out that plans are in the works for designer and prescription glasses with lenses compatible with Real D 3D.
While some might scoff at the idea, naysayers will have to admit most 3D glasses make movie watching awkward and even painful. There's no word whether designer glasses would cost more, but if popcorn prices are any indication, I'd guess theaters will try and make a buck on the stylish shades. Would you pay more for designer 3D glasses if you were on a movie date or seeing a flick in the same place as the president?

maybe designer shop glasses? maybe.
my boyfriend might though - for his computer screen.
1That's like the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Don't you basically just throw them out anyway?
2I wouldn't pay for DESIGNER 3-D glasses but I would probably drop a few bucks to get something more comfortable than what the have at the theaters, especially since its the cool new thing to have your movie in 3-D. If I'm going to see all these movies, why not have a comfortable pair of glasses?
3No. 3D dosent really work for me. It just makes my head hurt.
4so watching 3d at home in the dual color glasses gives me a huge headache and just doesn't work for me. My eyes never fully adjust, and i can visibly see my brain focusing on one eye and then the other, but the rayban-esque glasses they HAND OUT in the theaters are fine. who says they're uncomfortable? i have to wear them over my regular glasses, and that's a bit tricky. But other wise I've never had a problem. In fact, when i went to see UP, i liked the glasses so much that my boyfriend and I held onto ours.
