Obviously, I use AT&T to power my iPhone. I'm not saying that it's the best network out there (hello, dropped calls!), but it's the one I prefer to stay at in order to enjoy the Apple smartphone. What network would I prefer to be on? Probably Verizon — they really do have the best coverage and largest network on the market.

I recently read a story on Wired that reiterated this fact, and also pointed out that they may be the best network around, but they are at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to top-of-the-line mobile devices. T-Mobile is quickly moving up the ranks with their selection of Android phones, and Sprint is still in the game with the Palm Pre. This made me wonder — which cell carrier do you use?

I have Verizon, hence no iPhone.
Sprint but can't afford the Palm Pre...
I love Verizon but do wish they had a "better" phone selection. I just have to remember that my priority is always working calls first before fun.
Cincinnati Bell.
I think we might be one of the only if not the only with their own city wireless.
It's the best.
I pay under 100 a month for unlimited text, unlimited internet, 500 minutes, and my home internet. I find it quite nice. And I have a lovely touch screen Nokia iPhone knock off deal that I got for under 100 bucks.
I can't complain.
I dunno what's going to happen when I move and have to switch
T-Mobile. Their service is lovely and most importantly, I don't care what phones they offer. I pick up unlocked phones and switch my sim card whenever I feel like it. Sure my iPhone is slower than other folks, but I can pop the card into another phone whenever I feel like it. And since the data plan is something like $8 a month, I'm not stuck with evil AT&T's gouging rates. Now if only there were an unlocked Pre...
I wish Verizon had better gadgets. I'm still waiting hear anything about a release of an Android phone for Verizon since my current phone is so crappy.
AT&T--and I'm super annoyed. I was waiting until after law school to get myself the iphone. This summer when the new versions came out at those wonderful prices I was unable to get one at that price because I was already a customer and was not eligible for an upgrade. So I either have to wait until June 2010 or (they suggested) break my contract, get a new phone number, and then get that price. UGHH! So, I am still without an iphone---just waiting and seeing if it changes carriers this winter.
Verizon does have good handsets (hello htc touch pro2!) they just don't do the best advertising for them. I have a samsung schi-i760 that has been amazing for me, and has received lots of compliments. The problem with verizon is that they (like I said before) don't advertise their better handsets, and they also don't like to keep phones very long in there rotation. The iphone has been around for a few years now, and verizon has gone through numerous "iphone killers". I think they must have some kind of stronghold put on them by LG, even though their phones lack.
i have ATT. i've been with them since 1999 and they've been good to me all along the way. any issues have been handled professionally, quickly, and to my satisfaction. they have stellar phones, and i'm not bound to the same phone like my parents were with Verizon. i rarely have signal strength issues.
oh and in my opinion besides the iphone verizon has always had better options!
Sprint...
Verizon does offer the EnVTouch, which is a very nice phone. I'd just prefer an iPhone because I'm an Apple snob.
Sprint!! Palm Pre owner right here
Sprint!! Palm Pre owner right here
I have AT&T and I have the Lg Vu. It's not too bad but I drop multiple phone calls a day which is a seriously pain!! Ugh!
AT&T. I love my iPhone! Life is too short to not have one!
Sprint. I don't have the Pre, but I love my Centro and I'm about to upgrade to the Treo Pro.
Verizon for me. I'd love to have an Iphone but when it all comes out in the wash what I need is a cellPHONE. I can get cute on my computer at home and work, but when I'm stranded in a scary burb I want function over form. And, I truly love my Blackberry so I'm not really hurting.
Sprint. I just have a samsung rant though. Im not all about having the latest phone, my college pocketbook doesn't allow for that! It IS purple though.
AT&T, only for the iPhone. Otherwise I'd still be with Verizon. I'd prefer to be with Verizon, but my iPhone is my baby.
AT&T even before my iPhone. The only carrier with coverage at my house. I was told over the phone that I couldn't upgrade without paying a penalty but that person told me to go to the store and in the store, I could upgrade with no problem.
I have AT&T. I experience dropped calls too. But I noticed that happens when I'm on the 3G network then transfers to E network because of low 3G signal. When I disable 3G, I don't usually get dropped calls. My old phone that is not 3G rarely gets dropped calls too.
AT&T. My brother used to work for them long ago, and I've never switched. I haven't had any issue with dropped calls in a year or two though. *knock on wood*
Verizon.. and fingers crossed that the iPhone crosses over next year.. but until then, we make do
love my phone hate my service provider. that would be iphone and att. but i'm too lazy to quit them so i complain enough to force them to give me credits.
I'm on Sprint with a Palm Pre. I love it so much, gah!
Sprint, I like it, doesn't drop a call ('cept in my house...no provider gets service, something with the building itself) and Sprint has always been good for me.
I an not interested in smartphones, better signal is far more important. I have a Tracfone and I never lose calls, I get signal wherever I go even in my house. It's so much cheaper too, I can make long distance and international calls to over 100 country's for the same price as a local call and roaming is free.
I use Sprint. I have been with them for five years. They have a number of economical unlimited data plans and they allow you to tailor the plan to your needs. In my area, they have the best coverage of any of the providers. I also have wireless Sprint mobile broadband for my laptop. Their customer service is excellent. When my Blackberry Pearl stopped working last year, they sent me a replacement immediately.
I'm an ex-AT&T customer that recently switched to prepaid phones. I found that AT&T's network was just giving me too many hassles in my area. I now use a Straight Talk Unlimited monthly plan. I must say, I'm impressed! It uses the Verizon network and it seems I've been missing out for some time because now I can actually make calls without worrying about the call being dropped. The fact that I'm saving about 30 bucks each month also helps.
Sprint... no Palm Pre here but I have a family plan with 2 blackberries that would cost me almost $60 more a month in seperate data plans if I went with another carrier. Why would I spend that money for nothing. Sprint is awesome!!!
Sprint, been with them since 2000, we've gotten free phones many times and have a plan that they don't offer to regular customers.
I def think Sprint should have been a choice, they arent a dinosaur.
