I am not going to deny the fact that there are a lot of exciting tools on the iPhone, but I must admit, it's announcements like this that make me thank my lucky stars that I have a shiny and new iPhone. Brace yourselves: word on the net is that there is a new Nintendo Entertainment System emulator application on Google Code that comes with games like Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda. The emulator has a few glitches and requires several software hacks to work so use it at your own risk. Forewarning: The games don't have sound and they run really slow. Big whoop, the visual is impressive in itself!

Awesome! Not so sure about the tiny buttons (sensitivity) or the "auto-run" of Mario though.
Hmm. While I've been looking for more fun things on the iPhone, I'm not sure I want to go through all the trouble for this. However, it looks like fun so hopefully a better version will be out!
Now that everyone knows it can be done, I bet someone will improve on it. I have an emulator on my PC, and my only complaint is that Game Genie codes don't work with it and I can't beat MegaMan without them.
That's awesome!
Hax! Would be better if it weren't so slow, but it's the first step.
I'd rather play it on my Wii any day
v. cool
I wish I had an iPhone =(
And now you can play at least one Nintendo classic without any special software or hacks...

so cute!!!
pretty cool, but not worth the $70? $80? $90? a month for cellphone service.
It's a good thing that I can't afford an iPhone. I'm already addicted to http://www.virtualnes.com/ so I don't think a portable version would be the best plan for me.
I was so excited when I saw this, but I just can't hack my iPhone. My husband hacked his iPhone to put custom ringtones on it and it got a bit glitchy every time he connected it to his machine.
So I'll just wait and see if Apple eventually opens it up for third party applications. Good thing the phone rocks on its own
not a phone hack...but from watching the youtube vids those games are not to good mario runs on his own automatically.... you also dont have to hack ya phone to do ringtones, they got simple programs that you keep on your pc and it will just send the ringtone to ya phone once you complete making it...having had any issues with my phone..........who hoooooooo
Now that's what I'm talkin bout....GO MARIO!!
wow... i hope other hackers will improve this mario game.
i'll try to download this game later as soon i get home.
