Time to put those handcuffs away because Nintendo World Report has just announced that the Wii strap will be getting a much-needed locking clip to replace the existing loose clip. Millions of Wii straps were recalled this year after reports of shattered TV screens and injuries, so locking clips will be put to good use to prevent further Wiimote flying incidences. No word as to whether or not the new Wiimotes will include these clips or if you need to purchase them separately. My advice is to invest in one if your Wiimote has a tendency to slip off your wrist during intense games of boxing!

1Dang, I have 4 Wiimotes and they all have the old strap.
2I need more wii remotes
3That's awesome cuz my son is ALWAYS pausing the game to adjust his strap, which is good but also annoying. This will help a lot.

I need a bigger house so I have room for a Wii.
5lol i wonder if this'll do the trick
6I love my Wii. You can't be sad while Wii-ing. Just saying Wii makes me smile. Wiiiiiii!
:)
7it'd be cool if they had these at store or something and anyone who's bought a wii or wiimotes could pick them up (with receipt or something).
8me wants a wii
9I love my Wii. lol
I can't believe people are having all these problems with their straps though. Maybe I don't do enough flailing with my wii-mote.... You were able to get replacement straps from the nintendo website for free before, hopefully they'll keep that up.
10I need more Wii Motes too. I only have 2.
11Great! The straps on my Wiimotes aren't all that great.
12i've never had a problem with the straps (and i'm talkin about the 2nd version they sent out as replacements)...but i guess for the intense players the locking clip would be helpful
13All right, I haven't tried the Wii yet, but all these people who are having their straps break and their Wii-motes sent flying through expensive electronic equipment seem like idiots to me. I mean, seriously, all it takes is a little bit of grip. If you're worried about breaking the thing if you hold on too tight, consider the math here. Replacement for broken Wii-mote = $20. Replacement for broken PDA/plasma screen/other expensive electronic device = hundreds, even thousands of dollars.
